RadioShack Bluetooth Cassette Adapter

(Edit: changed from 3 stars to 5, explanation at bottom)I ordered two of these bluetooth cassette adapters to replace the awful cassette adapters with aux cords I had been using. I had a mixed experience... I ordered two so I could always have one playing while the other is charging. One worked BEAUTIFULLY! It had zero problems, and was fairly simple to use. The other one, though, had a plethora of issues, the most prominent of which I'll include in this review:- It clicks MUCH louder when in use than my other one.- It plays sound at incredibly low volumes. I have to max out my speaker's volume to be able to hear anything. The static sound from my speakers being turned up so high is louder than the music it plays...- Sometimes my phone won't be able to connect to it when it shows as being on and ready to be connected to. They both have the same exact name when looking for devices to connect to via bluetooth, but regardless of which one I try connecting to, I can sometimes not connect to the bad adapter and can always connect to the good adapter.- Sometimes it just spits back out and refuses to play.- Sometimes it sounds like it's rewinding and refuses to play.It's worth noting that the good one experiences none of the above issues.I'm not sure if I lucked out in getting a working one, or had bad luck in receiving a bad one, but either way I'm half satisfied and half disappointed with my purchase. I hope this review was helpful!Edit: After a couple weeks of no improvements, I decided to contact RadioShack regarding a replacement/refund. They were more than willing to ship me a new one free of any charge, which I was more than happy with. I’ll update further (if needed) after I get the replacement.

There is no way this requires special transportation or handling.It connected to my phone just fine, put it into the cassette player, hit play and had to crank the volume all the way up and it was still on the quiet side. And cranked all the way up, my cassette player has a pretty loud hum, so even that's not really a workable solution. I think I read somewhere that cassettes were recorded at a higher volume, but if that's the case, then the manufacturer of this bluetooth device should compensate and output at a higher level to make it comperable to using a cassette.

I love this device. I never knew they existed until I bought my 1990 Gold Wing and one was included. I liked it so much for playing my tunes from my iPhone that I bought one for my 2000 Buick.

Good sound quality and signal strength, but does not hold a long charge.

This cassette adapter was extremely junky it worked once maybe twice and after that it never worked again , kind of sad this is the day and age we live in full of technology big money floating around a lot pockets are fat and happy, but they make junkie products amazing world we live in??

Easy and convenient for vintage vehicles
