Gallo Salame Italian Dry Salame Party Size 18.5 Oz. Chub

Glad to be able to get this salame again, grew up in California and then moved East a long time ago. Brought back some good memories to have it on a sandwich again. This is the real deal as other reviewers have said. Don't expect it to be soft; that's not what this salame is meant to be. Cut the end and peel the skin back, slice, and enjoy. Pinot Noir works well at that point, too.

Brings home the memories glad I found it. I love the taste and as far as the lower ratings for grease I suggest refrigerating and not letting the meat set out too long. My wife used to send it to me in Vietnam in care packages and it gets greasy in the heat. It's about time for my third order.

I love Gallo Salame and have purchased it through Amazon before. This time it is terrible. I have no idea how old it is but it is so bad it smells and we could hardly chew it . We only ate a couple slices. It was stringy and awful. The gallo packaging looked old and dirty. I lived in California and I could buy it at the grocery store but can't do that where I live now. I still love it and will purchase it again, hopefully it will be like my other purchases.

Product is usually good. Unfortunately, I was sent a package that expired in three weeks, so the meat was fairly old.

This salame was ordered during a time of home sickness. I grew up eating Gallo Salame and was missing this. The midwest does not have this kind of salame. I introduced my boyfriend to the "food of my people." He enjoyed the flavor and texture. I will order this again.
