Nice/convenient low carb option. Paying for convenience.
I didn't know low carb rice was even a thing until coming across this product. If you love eating rice but are looking for an alternative with less carbs this might be a good option for you. Pros include they are conveniently individually packed, easy to cook, don't taste bad, looks similar to traditional rice and has a texture that resembles traditional rice, and is healthier if you're trying to limit your carb intake. The downside is you're paying for convenience as these are a little expensive compared to buying a bulk product you cook and portion on your own. 4/5. Recommended overall.

A Decent Low-Carb Option, But Manage Your Expectations
โI was looking for a low-carb rice alternative and decided to give this a try. The convenience is definitely a huge plus โ just rinse, heat, and it's ready to go in minutes. โI used it to make a Spanish-style rice to go with fajitas, and in that context, it worked pretty well. It did a great job absorbing all the spices and flavors of the dish. However, the texture is where it falls a bit short. It's not quite like traditional rice; it's a little more gelatinous or rubbery. It's not bad, just different. โWhen I tried a bite on its own, it was very neutral. It doesn't have that satisfying, subtle flavor of real rice, and the texture is much more noticeable. It's not unpleasant, just a bit bland and plain. โOverall, I'd say this is a solid choice if you're mixing it into a flavorful dish like a stir-fry, curry, or seasoned rice dish. As a plain side, it might be disappointing. I'm glad I tried it, but it's not something I'll be keeping regularly stocked in my pantry.

Expensive for the amount of rice in each packet
The rice is easy to use. Just add water. It is convenient to keep at home when you don't need large amounts of rice, or in the office or dorm room. Perfect for camping trips. It is very expensive for the amount of rice that you are getting, but you are paying for convenience.

Ended up pretty wet and incredibly expensive
I was very excited to try this rice. It seems like a good concept, basically single service rice that takes very minimal effort in order to prepare. I'm from an Asian household and preparer rice multiple times a week, so I was excited if this was going to be a bit easier or less time intensive. I followed the instruction son the box, added the boiling water and waited 15 minutes. By the end of the time, the rice was soft, but it was swimming in water. I had to drain it and then microwave it to get rid of some of the water that was sticking to the rice. The flavor was very similar to Jasmine rice in the fact that the smell had a bit of a perfume to it. It's not bad, but something I was not expecting. The rice itself was fine, but if I'm honest, it wasn't what I was looking for. It did not have the same texture that I am looking for and it did not soak up any soy sauce since it was already soaking in water. With the time that it took, I could have made a pot of rice and have it turn out exactly like I expect it to. That being said, this would be a great idea for camping or hiking where you can heat up some water and let it sit. When you look at the price, $17.99 at the time of this review, for basically 6 servings (small bowls) of rice, I feel like this is not a great value. I can buy 25 pounds of basmati for the same price and use it for months.

5* for taste, but knocked for price.
This tasted just like rice and was very tasty! I followed the instructions on the packet to put 200g (which is 200ml) of water into the bowl of the 'rice' and put it in the microwave for 8 minutes. When i came back, the bowl had exploded, but the rice was cooked (although the missing moisture made some bits a bit drier than they would have been). My first attempt in preparing was easy, but made a mess, but perhaps I can improve. This is all in all tasty, but I think perhaps I might alter the directions to instead heat for less time, and then let it sit for several mintues. The alternate directions were to pour boiling hot water onto the rice and wait a few minutes. Perhaps a hybrid approach is best to avoid microwave blow ups. I thought this was very tasty and hit the spot of rice, but with apparently better macros (I've never tried shirataki/miracle noodles, or anything like this before). The rice was nice and chewy and perhaps felt a bit creamy While this is delicious, it is quite an expensive alternative to rice, which can tend to be fairly inexpensive. 17.99 for a 6 pack of single servings is quite spendy, but if you have a diet restriction and this is your option, then taste wise it truly is delicious (it tastes similar to when I make my white jasmine rice with a bit of coconut oil). I did really enjoy this as a pricey, but macro-friendly, rice.

love it
I love eating rice. Always concerning my sugar level and the calorie count. This rice is gluten-free and low calorie. Love the fact that they are also sugar-free and fat-free. I can enjoy rice and worry free. Although the price is somehow high, but they are ready in minutes.

easy to make
These are small packs of rice. The price is very expensive but the pack are individually packaged . I am not sure I would get it again at this price but if convince matters to you this is a good pack . This is only 6 servings in this box at 40 cals a serving .
