One of the better books on wallpaper
Great historical information and some excellent images. My only disappointment was that so many images were in black and white - but supposed that this was due to color photography not being invented yet, although some of the older engraved or illustrated images seemed like they could have been shown in color. Overall a comprehensive look at the history wallpaper and one of the better books on the subject. Quite readable as well.

Excellent Resource!
This book is brilliant. My husband is a watercolourist and I make rugs and draw too. The book is beautiful and we use it often. It always seems to be propped open for something or other and we have countless post-it notes sticking out the top.The illustrations are well selected. A must have for designers. I also bought The World Of Ornament, which is really terrific and useful, but had I owned this at the time I would have stuck with this. It's condensed and lovely.

Many Colorful Illustrations
This book is not only informative, the illustrations are excellent and include many that are not in most wallpaper books.I hestitated because of the price, then decided to buy a used one for considerably less money. It's as good as new!
