Tag says 100% silk, and it feels, drapes, handwashes like silk.
Definitely 100% silk! Did a hand-wash, which I always do with silks, and it came out beautifully. Can be ironed on silk setting, but is not necessary. Versatile in use, 21x21 size perfect fit for tying around neck handkerchief style. Very soft and lightweight. Will likely order another one.

High quality. Material is very soft and genuinely silky. Stitching is neat. Nothing about to unravel! Or hanging threads. When I find a good quality brand on Amazon I go back to it again and again. Quality varies from seller to seller. And I've purchased items that 1K people loved and I did not. At all. The Miesee pure mulberry silk scarf is good quality. Note: I bought it to use as a scarf around my neck. My neck is throat is fairly slim - about 13" around. A 21" square might not work for you if you want it for the same purpose. Also, do not know if it would stay in place on hair - I'm not using it for that purpose and did not check that out.
