Great pedal, very versatile. Simple no nonsense controls, robust chassis, and a excellent build quality. Crystal clear clean tones to OTT (aptly named WTF) crunch. For the price an absolute winner and a welcome addition to the pedal board. Useful to Blues players all the way across the spectrum to those whom wish to experiment with the unexpected.

Great sound

Love this pedal! On it's own it's a very full sounding low to mid gain OD pedal that just has a really smooth sound and feels great to play thru. Nice rich drive, good sustain and compression. Very tweakable controls. You can also use it to boost other drive pedals in your chain that are after The Dude and it works great. I ran The Dude into my Suhr Eclipse over drive pedal set to a medium gain crunch and I got one of the best lead tones I've ever heard from any rig I've ever had. You can also use it as a totally clean boost since it has a TON of clean headroom. I'm setting the volume knob somewhere between 9 and 10 o'clock. Crazy amount of headroom.I'm totally diggin' this pedal and I was reaching for the velcro within 1/2 hour after opening the box. I recently bought 3 pedals and The Dude was the only keeper. I sent back 2 pedals (J Rockett Archer Ikon and Wampler's Tumnus Deluxe). Those pedals also get very high ratings from most players, but they didn't do the trick for me. The Dude is killer! Great pedal.

Great sound and tone. Previous reviews regarding loose input connection is valid, hence why I took away one star.I only play for my own amusement so it's not a big issue for me but can see where having it come unplugged during a gig would just be wrong. This should really be fixed from a design standpoint. Other than that great product.
