I was having very dried scalp and a lot of dandruff.My scalp started to look as burnt skin.I am using this shampoo for 3 months now and I can say that is very good.I don't have dandruff and dried scalp.I am very happy.It lasts about one month.

Great shampoo

It's good (smells nice, hair feel clean after use etc) but didn't really solve my issue of dry scalp. I have cut out almost all dairy which does seem to help my scalp a lot.

Lovely shampoo

This is great stuff. I have scalp psoriasis and this smells good, feels good, leaves scalp less itchy but soothes it instantly and my hair feels great. No static, clean but not that horrible squeak you get when it's stripping your hair. Can't recommend highly enough.

First, I’m shocked this product has four stars and not five stars! Second, I can’t believe it’s taken me over five years to write a review! I’ve consistently used the shampoo product every time I shampoo since 2018! And I’ve recommended it to so many friends and family over the years! I’ve recommended it to White friends, Hispanic friends, curly friends, and friends with straight hair. Everyone consistently loves this shampoo! Because I’ve been using the shampoo for so long it’s hard to remember what my shampoo experience was like before this product to be honest! But I can tell you it was an absolute game changer! It erased my dry itchy, flaky scalp, which admittedly was only an intermittent issue, but I haven’t had it since! It fixed my husband’s awful dandruff. Then he started recommending it to his guy friends! Regarding all the things you need a shampoo to do, it it does the job - it cleans your scalp without stripping your hair! I wouldn’t let the price point concern you because a little goes a long way, and the product lasts a solid six months. If you prefer a big lather, just add more water. If you’re wondering about my hair. I’m a black woman with course but thin 3C/4A texture who consistently color treats to cover gray, going from a level 2 to 5 base color with level 6 face frame to mask the gray as it comes in along the hairline. I occasionally highlight and occasionally process with a keratin treatment. Of note, I don’t use the entire LivSo Product line, just the shampoo. Wesley, I didn’t write this review immediately after receiving the shampoo. I just happened to go in to purchase a new one and started writing a review so I don’t know if Amazon will list this as a verified purchase but I have definitely purchased this over and over for so many years.

I'm rating the product line as a whole -- four stars. I've been using the line for about two months. I didn't want to rate it right away because products will work for about two weeks, and then they stop working. In any case, the shampoo and scalp lotion are the winners in this product line. I will be repurchasing both when I run out. I will probably end up repurchasing the conditioner as well, but I wasn't impressed with it at all. The shampoo: highly concentrated, so you don't have to use a lot of it, and it doesn't strip your hair. It has a nice citrus type of scent -- clean. With other shampoos I usually experience an itchy or dry scalp a few hours after I shampoo. With this shampoo, my scalp feels normal. The moisturizing scalp lotion: I use this on wash days and in between when I have a little bit of discomfort, a sore spot or itch on my scalp -- same scent. I apply it in the shower before I apply my styling products. The conditioner: There is not enough conditioner for people with coarse hair, and this line was created with African American people with scalp problems in mind; though, fine-haired people can use the line. Also, the conditioner is on the thin side. I was really surprised and disappointed. I think that it needs to be thicker with more moisturizing alcohols, and more! I need a 16 to 32 oz bottle. This will be the first product that I will need to replenish. When I apply it, it almost seems like it's not doing anything. In fact, it seems like it makes my hair tangle a bit. Oh yeah, this is not a detangling conditioner at all -- it's all about massaging some into your scalp -- but make sure you rinse it off before applying the lotion. I keep it on my hair for three minutes, add water, and then that kind of activates it, but not by much. I suggest buying all three products because they do work synergistically. But the conditioner is just not impressive.

I have been using the LivSo Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner for the past four weeks. I have been natural for over seven years and I usually wear my hair straight. I have food allergies (primarily a gluten allergy) which causes my scalp to be dry and itchy. The first thing my stylist and I noticed about this product was the smell. We both loved the fragrance. I also usually request minimal products be used on my hair because often they weigh my hair down. I was very pleased that the LivSo products were not heavy and did not weigh my hair down. My stylist and I liked how my hair felt after using the product. Now to the good stuff. After week one, I did not notice much difference in my scalp. Week two, there was a noticeable difference and my scalp was not as itchy as it was in the previous week. Week three, was amazing because there was such a noticeable difference until I actually went two weeks between washes (which I have not been able to do in years), not to mention I ate foods that contained wheat which usually make my scalp itch more. I am now on wash four which is really week five and it is a little itchier than the previous two weeks. Needless to say, I have seen vast improvements in my scalp over the past five weeks. I will continue to use these products and would definitely recommend it to those who suffer from a dry and itchy scalp. The only con I have found with these products is with the shipping. My product arrived in an envelope and the shampoo had opened and spilled out into the bag. I would recommend maybe taping the lid of the shampoo and shipping it in a box verses the envelope.
