Pretty but useless, true to size
Updated: They redid the app and the ring works so much better! The ring is beautiful. This ring only tracks my pulse ox when I tap in the app and manually track it(no one has time for that). The ring fits great, feels great, and looks great. Fits true to size. Size 12 is a size 12 and size 10 is a size 10. Charging case is cheap but fine. There is a charging cable that magnetically connects to the ring itself which is nice. It would be nice to be able to rename the ring because I do have multiple rings in my house hold which gets confusing as to which ring I am connected to(I have to walk outside to the neighbors to connect my ring if I dont want to accidentally connect to my husbands). Battery life is good, lasts about 5 days. Sleep tracking could be better, it says I'm sleeping but I'm really just reading in bed or on my phone. I have a reaction to Metals and this ring does NOT make me react which is honestly impressive. I do get a little irritated after wearing it for 4-5 days where the charging port on the inside is, but its really minimal. I wear a samsung smart watch and NOW after the update my steps on the ring are nearly identical to my steps on my watch. Honestly after the updates and improvements they have done, this watch is well worth the money. I got the gold version and the gold is starting to wear off in places to silver. I am in the medical field and have to wash my hands 40-50 times a day and honestly its kinda a champ. I didn't think the ring would last long but it is holding up quite well. Im impressed. Hope they will update again and have blood oxygen auto record rather then having to manually record it. Glad with this purchase AFTER the updates

Chugging along so far
First, I'm going to mention my initial and largest worry: The battery life. I'm seeing some reviews where it just does not want to remain charged at all and won't work, whereas I received mine on October 7th, and it is, as of this review, October 19th. I charged it for the first time since I received it yesterday. What was strange was the watch cutting off at about 16% battery life and freaking me out. No, it just turns out that it has a battery saver mode or something of the sort and was only disconnected for a few hours, during which it still monitored sleep. Once I charged it again in that quick little case, all was well. It reconnected to the app very quickly and easily compared to the initial setup. The ring itself is quite lovely, even considering the fact that I don't normally wear gold. I've wanted to try out a smart ring for a little while and here we are. Now, I didn't expect an aura ring out of this thing by any means; I didn't even have hopes for this thing, so it had nothing to fear as far as letting me down with functionality or what have you. I love the patternings on this thing, and it fits and feels like a tungsten ring, which I'm already used to wearing, so this is perfect in that regard. Regard. If I were to do it again, I would definitely get a silver or black ring because that's more my style. My complaint lies in the app itself. My first impression wasn't great. It does not make it easy to sign up for an account, nor does it make it easy to sign in. It may act as if you never set up an account, only to later be told that the account already exists, and then you may still fight to log into that account. It's all quite strange. In the time that I've had my ring, the app has gotten a little bit of an upgrade. It's still pretty rudimentary, it still does not display steps in real time on the home screen, which is a bit annoying; the heart rate can be set up to measure automatically; mine is set to every 15 minutes. But, for whatever crazy reason, the ring does not monitor your blood oxygen levels automatically. You have to trigger the measurement in the app. That could be problematic for someone that depends on these devices to help monitor their well-being. Hopefully that's remedied soon. So, all in all, the ring itself gets five stars (unless, of course, something odd happens and it stops working). I hope that the ability to track blood oxygen levels automatically Is added in the future. After all, although you cannot use these devices to diagnose anything, it helps to be able to look at your phone real quick to check your vitals in the moment. I'll be back to update if it breaks.

Very inaccurate readings. Save your money
This was an attractive ring, but the readings were very inaccurate. Blood pressure showed same numbers most of the time and they were no where near the numbers I got on my blood pressure monitor. The oxygen level was inaccurate as well as steps. I returned it.

App needs improvements
The Joyplow smart ring fitness tracker is challenging to set up and use. Once you figure out the setup it does what it claims to do. Tracks activity, sleep, heart rate, and sleep. To start there's more than 1 QR code on the box and instructions. Even a suggestion for app lookup. In the end, the tiny QR code in the booklet is what you'll need to download which is called JRing. There's no email or account setup on the app that I can find and to test/ track data, it says to "start" the monitoring but in the app you click on the word "monitoring" to start the process. I got it to track my heart rate which I'm having issues with and this suits my needs. Past that the feature like shaking the ring to take a photo is similar to a remote clicker. It's a good price for what it does and will allow me to track my heart rate. Past that, improvements in the app would greatly increase my review rating as well as an account setup. Having my ring nickname as "unknown" and account not logged in but no ability to do so is frustrating. The instructions says no need to register and you can ignore the reminder to do so but it never came up on the app.

Passable for the price
It's very ehh compared to most other smart rings that I've heard of or used, but for the price (16 dollars at time of review), it is pretty good. The sensors work well enough, with the sleep detection and bpm keeping within a negligible range of my fitbit inspire 2's data and my other smart rings data. I'm not really sure about steps, the steps seem okay, but the only data I have to compare it to is my fitbits data which is notoriously incorrect. However, it doesn't really check much else than sleep, bpm, and steps. The app has a section for blood oxygen, but my ring has not logged a single reading in the week that I have used it so far. Battery is pretty good, I have used it for a whole week and have not gotten any alerts about low battery and the app says it still has 43 percent left. This is probably because it only seems to take readings every 15 minutes, which makes the data a bit vaguer. Like the sleep tracking is always in ranges of fifteen minutes, for instance. It has a good look, and a pretty okay thickness. It is noticeably lighter than my other smart ring though, which has many more sensors, but is much more expensive. However, it is not much bigger or heavier than my other rings, though I wear some pretty large rings. I like the look, wearing it on my right pinky finger and think it looks good. Of note, it also comes with a charging case and a charging cable. The case is very cheap feeling, but my other smart ring did not even come with a case and it was more expensive, so I will not complain. There's a lot not to like about how simple this ring is, but for the price, there's not really much better, and the sleep and bpm tracking are serviceable. Sleep tracking is my main concern, so I quite like it.

Outstanding Value for Sleep and Fitness Tracking. Surprisingly Accurate and Easy to Use
For the price, this smart ring is an absolute standout. It delivers data quality and functionality you’d normally expect from devices several times more expensive. Right out of the box, setup was painless. Charging is straightforward: the kit includes both a cable to charge the ring directly and one for the case, which doubles as a portable charger. Connecting it to my phone took seconds. The ring itself is made from plastic rather than ceramic or metal, but it looks remarkably convincing; unless you’re examining it up close, it easily passes for a standard piece of jewelry. In terms of fit, I usually wear a size 9–9.5, and the ring felt a bit loose on my ring finger but fit perfectly on my index finger. Interestingly, the accuracy didn’t seem to depend on which finger I used. I got excellent readings either way. The fitness tracking is impressively precise once activated. The only limitation is that it doesn’t automatically detect workouts, so you have to start recording from the app. Once running, however, it matched the data from my treadmill and stair climber almost exactly. Outdoor activities worked equally well; while the ring itself doesn’t include GPS, it integrates seamlessly with your phone to record routes and estimate calories burned based on heart rate and pace. What impressed me most was its sleep tracking. I use a BiPAP that provides detailed sleep data, and the ring’s readings, including sleep and wake periods, lined up almost perfectly. It even logs heart rate hourly, making it easy to visualize trends over time. Overall, this is a remarkably capable, well-designed smart ring that punches far above its price point. If you’re looking for accurate sleep and fitness tracking in a discreet form factor, this one delivers.

Pretty nice for price, sizing accurate
I have never had a smart watch or ring, so when I saw the low price of this smart ring I decided I wanted to try it out. It does what it says it will, step counting, checking your heart rate, oxygen sensor and sleep patterns, and stays charged for about a week. This smart ring has quite a nice weight to it, sizing fits accurately, looks a little bulky on my finger though, which for me makes it a little uncomfortable to wear 24/7. The app will run down your battery in no time. The manual is quite lengthy, so be prepared to wear your reading glasses as the print is also small. The charging case is nice, the ring is waterproof and has no subscription fee. I think over time I will learn more about this smart ring, for now it has been working ok so far.

only need to charge it once a week!
The smart ring/sleep tracker has been a great addition to my daily routine. It’s lightweight and comfortable enough that I forget I’m wearing it, even overnight. The sleep tracking has been surprisingly accurate, giving good insight into deep, light, and REM sleep cycles. I also like that it tracks heart rate and steps without needing a bulky smartwatch. The app it syncs with is easy to navigate and gives clear breakdowns of data without being overwhelming. Battery life has been impressive I only need to charge it about once a week. It’s discreet, stylish, and practical, which makes it perfect for work or casual wear. Overall, it’s been a really useful tool for keeping tabs on my health without the constant screen distractions of a smartwatch.
