"A Republic--if you can keep it!" Benjamin Franklin's ominous warning from 1789 echoes louder than ever as we yet again face an election in which there appears to ALMOST be a majority of Americans who are poised to use their "freedom "in order to vote for Leftist Tyranny (which, when it happens, will be the most glaring and pathetic Political Irony of all history). Dinesh D'Souza has done a great service by producing this, and all of his other magnificent movies. With these films readily available to the public, THERE WILL BE NO EXCUSE if people vote Leftists into power once again! In stark and straightforward clarity, this film demonstrates who are--and have always been--the REAL Fascists (Leftists), who are--and have always been--the REAL Racists (Leftists), and what is--and has always been--the REAL Party of Slavery (the Democrat Party). The truth is as simple as this easy comparison: *** "Capitalism" is synonymous with "freedom"—individual freedom to possess life and property, and have the liberty to make use of those benefits in any way that does not infringe upon the rights of others to life, liberty, and property, with those rights safeguarded by the State in such a way that IT does not, itself, infringe upon them, either. Under Capitalism, the State is a tool for the strengthening and support of the individual. *** "Socialism" is synonymous with "slavery"—individual and communal slavery to the despotic State, which forcibly extracts everything of value from its slaves in order to feed and support its own tyrannical power. Under Socialism, the individual is a tool for the strengthening and support of the State. The USA narrowly dodged a bullet in 2016 (a bullet fired from it's own voting booth, which, had it struck its intended target, would have been Electoral Suicide on the part of the whole country). The term "Democratic Socialism" simply means: We did it to ourselves! "A Republic--if you can keep it!" The Truth--if you have the courage to hear it!

This movie changed the whole way I view both the Republicans and the Democrats and helped me to gain new insight into what is happening today in the US, especially regarding Antifa - call 'em Hillary's brownshirts from now on. (Obama's would work as well.) The big picture is that the media has been telling big lies about US history - and most of us swallowed it hook, line and sinker. The biggest lie: that the Republicans are the party of racism and slavery, and that the Democrats are - and have always been - the party of civil rights and emancipation. Biggest surprises of this movie: the KKK was an outflow of the Democratic party, a fact which can easily be proven. Second, not the South, but the Democrats fought against the emancipation of the slaves. Third, Woodrow Wilson admired Mussolini a lot. Tasty tidbit: The Democrats wrote into law the 'one-drop' definition of being black: one black ancestor, however far back in lineage, was sufficient to have one legally classified as black. The Nazi's found this rule too strong when they formulated the law for defining Jewishness: 3 out of 4 grandparents had to be Jewish for a formal classification in Nazi Germany as being of Jewish descent. I easily rate this as the most informative movie I have seen this year.

Many will not like what I am about to say about the Civil War, but I can match my knowledge base on it with anyone, as it has been my hobby for years. This book surely does not go deeply into this senseless War that could have been prevented and Blacks would not have experienced the barbaric 100 year Post War Period, in where they were treated worse than a barn cat. The book is an easy read as I have the hardback and digital copies. It is exciting at times but really skirts around if the War was necessary. It was not, and when Lincoln ran for President, slavery was hardly mentioned, if at All. Adams and Jefferson wrote the law allowing States the right to secede, and by golly when they did, Lincoln then added slavery as an issue. Slavery would have gently disappeared on its own by about the late 1800s. The Constitution was written to actually accommodate exactly that. No, someone thought a horrendous war was a better way, when Southern States did what they lawfully could, and that was to succeed from the Union. If you count all casualties including civilian, you approach 800,,000 plus, and if you believe this number of souls is worth any cause, then recenter your moral compass. It generated hate, and Lincoln was a casualty of that. It could have been different but the book reminds me of today, where the country is split right down the middle, so the book is a reminder of an unnecessary war that eliminated near 3% of the population. Innocent people were hung for the assassination also. What are two people worth in the scheme of things? Well, I guess if you were a family member of those two innocent souls, they were worth a world. What a sick and sad period of US History, and this book shows you the sad ending Chapter of Hate and Racism that still haunts us to a degree today.

I love Lincoln & I love trump for what they've done for this country. I watched this documentary on repeat (except for when I was sleeping of course) for the whole 24 hour period that I had rented it for. Will definitely buy this one. So much history and truth! It really is a shame that the real people trying to make this nation even better are the ones being made out to be the "bad guys". All while these wolves in sheep's clothing, on the other hand, are putting a blanket over everyone's head and filling their minds with lies. Such sadistic behavior. Delusional. Some would even define it as "psycho". With only one goal in mind: trying to destroy it all and take everything away from those who have worked so hard for what they have. Sorry, had to rant for a sec. Just watch it, that's all I'm saying.

After reading D'Souza's book, I had to check out this well-made movie. D'Souza appreciates American freedoms as only a (legal) immigrant from a third-world country can. His historical research and analysis are excellent. Comparing Trump to Lincoln may be a bit of a stretch, but they do certainly face similar challenges. Critics will dismiss the facts presented in the film, but the historical details laid out in the book strongly back up D'Souza's claims of the Democrats' "big lie". The truths he outlines are evident to anyone with a half-open mind and any knowledge of history. That is, the history no longer taught in America's liberal schools.

Very well-done documentary. I have been watching insanity erupt in America over the last few years in reaction to Donald Trump’s election and shaking my head in disbelief. I kept thinking ‘This idiocy cannot sustain itself’ but I was wrong. It didn’t start with Trump’s election. The Democratic Left has had a plan in place for decades to destroy our country and they are enraged that they were blocked at the last possible moment by Trump’s election. If you are in any doubt, look at the actions of Democrats over the last four years. They have told lie after lie, used threats and intimidation to silence people, and denied they are the party of tyranny and slavery despite ALL evidence to the contrary. Think, read, educate yourself, and stand up for what’s right. The sheep of the Left say they won’t even cede Trump supporters the slightest possibility of being on the side of right. Their adamant closed-mindedness proves only how well-trained yet ignorant they are - the perfect foot soldiers of the neo-Nazi Democrat movement. We must not let them win, not just for our sake, but for the sake of the entire human race.

I really enjoyed the presentation and found it to be inspirational as well as entertaining. The USA is an amazing, generous and wonderful country, but there have always been those that always promote the dark side of life for their own gain and purposes. You can see the dark side and the light via this movie and decide for yourself. The media and politicians have been deceptive with acts of commission and omission that have led to pain, death, and suffering in the pursuit of theoretical and unachievable goals that go against human nature as well as history. Few have the courage to call out those that seek to enslave and use us for their purposes rather than leave us alone to pursue the American Dream. I am appreciative that this movie was made and believe that all sides would get a lot from seeing this film. I don't agree with everything in the film, but it does make a lot of valid points that everyone should hear and see.

Informative, provocative and in my opinion, accurate! Presented a view that seems to be silenced by the MSM--which in itself lends credibility to the project! Keep up the great work DD!!

Loved listening to Denish, he explains a lot

Nobody told me my DVD player wouldn’t play this DVD! Must have been in the small print somewhere.

"Death of A Nation" is an excellent history lesson, with a mixture of historical clips, re-enactments, and interviews with important players. To be honest, the lessons were depressing because of toxic human actions by some, but also uplifting knowing that there are some very brave people whose actions and sacrifice will make life better for all. In my opinion, we are living in a very historic moment. Thanks for a great documentary, Dinesh D'Souza.

This is an incredible documentary. It chronicles the demise of the USA due to the Democrat agenda and warns what is happening now and what will continue to happen unless the Republicans can turn things around with Trump's leadership before it is too late with the globalist agenda versus the populist agenda which got Trump elected. Dinesh chronicles events from history to back up his warning and message. A wonderful documentary!!!
