I brought this bulb to supplement my existing Smart Light Network, specifically to use in the light holder which hangs above the chair in which I usually read. The bulb arrived very speedily and was well packaged. The shape of the light is unusual being faceted rather than round. I set it up quite quickly using the AP method and it was very easy to add into my existing Alexa Smart network. I most like the controllability, in that I can control the intensity depending on whether I am reading a newspaper, a book or my tablet.It can be controlled rather easily using either the Lombex smartphone app or the Alexa appPrice was good and certainly comparable to others and the quality of the light impressive

I have used several of these types of products for use with my Amazon Alexa. This arrived very quickly and was well packaged. The instructions are good and was easy to set up in AP mode and integrate into my existing smart light network. I like the new diamond style shape and, once plugged in the colours are vibrant and easily changeable via my phone and tablet. In it's price range this performs very well and I have no issues recommending to others

Purchased to replace an existing Lombex bulb that failed within warranty period. Easy to set up as always but not nearly as bright as the previous generation Lombex bulb it replaced. Also, I am unable to group it with the existing previous generation Lombex bulbs that I already have throughout the home. Don't bother trying to contact Lombex customer support as it does not exist. Can't even get hold of them for a refund for the bulb that failed either. Don't waste your time or money. Choose another brand.UPDATEDOriginally I thought this bulb to be not bright enough, but I have gotten used to it after a few days use. Definitely not as bright as it's predecessor, it will light a small room sufficiently and glows a very nice shade of white. Although unable to "group" it with previous Lombex bulbs using the Lombex app, you can still create a "group" using Alexa. For these reasons I am now fairly satisfied and have decided not to return it. I really like I can control this bulb from my phone. I have it in my hallway, so I can turn it off when I get into bed, and if I wake up in the middle of the night and need to go to the kitchen or loo, I can turn on the light before I leave my bed. It's also proved really useful if I am working or out late- I can have the light turned on for me before I get home. It was easy to install and had no problem with the app. The one thing I didn't like was the light arriving broken- well the top was off of the bulb. I managed to snap it back on and so far so good, but it did make me wonder if it would fall off! Still, I'd like to buy more for the home. Good product at a good price!

I am very pleased with this bulb, despite the expected initial set up problem of having to use comparability (AP) mode. This seems a common issue with every smart item I’ve bought, so I’m now used to playing around to get things to work.The bulb is bright and even the coloured options are bright enough to illuminate a room. The shape of the bulb seems to give a good overall spread of light, unlike some other makes where the light is mostly directed diwnwards. All in all I’m very pleased and will buy again when it’s on offer. Works very well with Alexa.

This lamp was bought to supplement my existing smart lamp system.Following ordering, the bulb arrived prompt, next day deliveryThe lamp is faceted making it look quite distinctive.Set up is very easy, full instructions are provided and available on-line note this is my fourth smart lamp so I was familiar with the procedure.As a summary guide, the lamp power must be switched on and off until it begins to flash then from the Lombex phone app, it can be added to the wifi network then renamed depending upon where the lamp has been installed. It is then simply a case of asking Alexa to ‘discover’ the new added lamp assuming as in my case the skill is already in use.The lamp can then be controlled from the app or the Alexa app / device.The phone app provides a high degree of controllability over colour and brightness as well as colour change effects as well as timers and the ability to group lamps together into scenes for example switching all lamps on when arriving home is useful.I haven’t had the new range lamp long but my first impressions of it is that the quality of the light impressive.The colours seem to be more distinct than the earlier lamps and the increased power means it is brighter.I am very happy with the functionality offered by the app the control options and not forgetting the ease of set upI recently had a smart lamp fail. The Lombex team offered outstanding after sales service replacing the defective lamp for me. This gave me good peace of mind and confidence to purchase other lamps.

I bought 2 of these, one for my hall and the other for the upstairs landing. My idea was to be able to control them randomly when I was on holiday and thus deter burglars. For this purpose they worked extremely well. The app is easy to use, and allows you to control not only the on/off timings but also the light colour and brightness. My issue is the fact that after 22 months of use the upstairs one has failed. If it had been on continuously for 22 months this would approximate to 15500 hours of life. I estimate that it had been on for a maximum of 4 hours a day, or a total of 2600 hours. Obviously this is a huge difference from the 20000 hours of life claimed. In view of the high cost of the item I would have expected a longer guarantee than the 12 months offered, hence my low star rating.

Bought a pack of two bulbs for £16.99 in November 2018. It's not that bright, producing proportionately fewer lumens for the 10-watt rating. One of the bulbs failed in August 2019. So I got 8 months' use for £8.50--it was supposed to last many thousand hours. It's extremely poor value for money. I would look for a better quality product next time.
