Works for me because its Corn!
Corn dextrin, fiber is difficult to find and its all that works for me. Most of your products on store shelves say "Wheat" or some say neither! How that is I don't understand because some like myself cannot use wheat! This product is excellent!

Just what I needed
I had a partial gastrectomy and need to take fiber. The psyllium husk fibers gave me terrible bloating that was painful. When I came across this I had to try. It's been about a year and still use daily, no bloating and feel great

Damaged packaging twice
My first order of this item had a hole in the exterior packaging as well as the item bag. Looked like a knife slash, probably accidentally somewhere along the line. So I ordered a replacement. What are the chances? There was a hole in the replacement package too, but only the item bag, not in the exterior packaging. Getting a refund. Don't know if the product itself is any good, but Amazon isn't taking very good care of it.

It works, but I think there are more cost effective alternatives out there that deliver similar results
It seems to work well enough, and dissolves quickly, but I've had similar experiences with other products for a fraction of the cost. It's not a very big bag and for $16, it doesn't last very long. The only reason I started looking into corn soluble fiber was because of an alleged study that claims corn soluble fiber helps to increase calcium absorption...however, as John Oliver has shown, studies can be hokey too. There's also another study that claims calcium derived from supplements (not natural sources) increases the risk of an adverse cardiac event.I'm just going to go back to Trader Joe fiber cereal, which works pretty darn well, and drink more milk. I used to be a fan of Fiber One, until I realized they use artificial sweeteners, and I don't really need that stuff over the course of a lifetime. Who knows what it can really do, it's not like they've done generational studies.

Good so far..
I tried this in coffee and there was no change in texture or taste. So far, so good. I have tried Quest cookies, which use this and no flour. I think for 4 net carbs, the cookies are great, and I bought this to use in baking and to try to modify some of my recipes to reduce or eliminate flour. If I had one "complaint," it is that there are no baking recipes on this company's website or anywhere on the Internet. But I will persevere!

Not properly labeled
Apparently this company makes both soluble corn and wheat fiber. I specifically wanted corn fiber for its reported bone health benefits, not wheat fiber. The package says nothing about what type of fiber it is and lists no ingredients. It does say "Compare to BeneFiber" and, according to the BeneFiber website, that is wheat fiber. UPDATE: After going through the small package I originally ordered, I decided to take a chance and ordered the 5 lb. size. It is properly labeled as corn fiber so, assuming it is what it says it is, I'm increasing the rating to four stars. One ding for the high price.
