If you are a fan of classic root beer but are trying to cut back on sugar, the SodaStream Mug Root Beer Zero Sugar Drink Mix is an absolute must-have. I’ve tried a lot of different diet or zero-sugar syrups, and many of them have that strange, medicinal aftertaste. This one is different—it tastes exactly right. It captures that specific, creamy, and bold Mug flavor profile perfectly, making it hard to believe there’s actually no sugar in it. The convenience of this 4-pack is great for anyone who uses their SodaStream regularly. Each 440ml bottle makes about 9 liters of soda, so having a pack of four means you won't be running back to the store every week. It mixes easily and maintains its carbonation well, providing a crisp and refreshing drink every time. It’s also a fantastic base for zero-sugar root beer floats; just add a scoop of sugar-free vanilla ice cream and you have a guilt-free dessert that tastes like the real deal. Overall, this is a 5-star product for both flavor and value. It delivers the nostalgic taste of a classic American root beer without any of the calories. Whether you’re a long-time SodaStream user or just getting started, this is a staple flavor that definitely deserves a spot in your pantry.

My husband is a HUGE root beer and cream soda fan.... But he's also prediabetic. I got a drink mate and I noticed these syrups have SIGNIFICANTLY less sugar than store bought sodas. I was hesitant to buy since a case would be a disaster if it wasn't good. I'm glad I bit the bullet. Not only are these so tasty, my husband has actually started slimming down because the sugar is so much reduced from his usual vices. His doctors are impressed (which is hilarious to me ) but his sugar numbers are way down. Especially because he tends to buy soda from gas stations, thus spending the max a sofa could cost, this is well worth the money. I usually put mine in an insulated tumbler with a straw when I want it to go and it's just like a fast food soda. I've gotten a few cases of this flavor and ginger ale since I got the drink ate for Christmas 2023 (I think) and we've never had leakage after transit or at home.

I've been experimenting with the various syrups out there, and this is probably my favorite so far. The root beer flavor is perfect, even for a sugar free option. No calories and no caffeine so you can enjoy it in the evenings as well. The four pack is going to last a LONG time, especially considering how we like to alternate flavors when using the SodaStream to keep it from getting boring.

Pretty good Rootbeer flavor, but it doesn’t taste like Mug Rootbeer to me, but maybe I’m doing something wrong on my end.
