I have thick hair razored short, to get texture and hold I use wax. This product is not very greasy, does not smell. It is pretty soft compared too many waxes I have tried but do not apply straight to hair. You need put it a dollop on your hands and rub it til it warms and then mix it in your hair. If you put it straight on your hair it leaves clumps. Low shine. For the price 5/5. I have tried other waxes that are a tad bit softer, but more than double the price. I am not a huge fan of the pop up pushing of the wax, but I do like that it is cardboard and not some plastic to toss later when done.

Stick is very stiff and very hard to use. Not sure if I can return it ?? Would not recommend - gives a very sticky shinny effect …

I have Black long fine hair. I bought this on a whim to tame my fly aways along with moisturizing my hair. I put it on my sides, top & underside of my hair when styling. I do brush it in as im styling my hair. I love this product & it leaves no cast on my hair. If I do not brush it in I get a white cast. To do my hair I apply the product first ( top , sides underside) then brush my top , sides & underside of my hair into my desired top knot or messy bun . I do this prior to using this wax so it doesn't bother me at all & distributes the wax thoroughly with no cast. There is no fragrance , it does exactly what it says it will do & it washes out easily from my hair. My thyroid had recently been fluctuating so I've had breakage & shedding & this has really helped smooth my hair. A little really does go along ways. I love that the applicator is not plastic , it is easy to apply . This also has added moisturizing quality to my hair. I do use a clarifying shampoo once a week on my hair prior to using this product so i have no issues with residue or build up what so ever . I have purchased a second one I like it that much. It's a staple in my hair products now & one application lasts me a couple days until I wash it out. I recommend this product & will purchase again. Shipping was as expected.

This hair wax is horrible. I hate that I have to push up from the bottom like those Popsicles that come in the toilet paper roll like things a d the feel and effect on hair is terrible. I have used a lot of hair waxes, pomade, gels and the like but NONE have ever left my hair feeling like I just put a layer of wax like what is on a desk on my head. This left a white film and I thought maybe if I heat it up and brush it into my hair with a hair dryer it will spread more evenly. Nope. Well it became slightly less white, it did not spread around and it didn't even keep down my fuzzies. If anything it made me look like I had an antenna sticking out of my head when any hairs came out of my bun. My hair is about a 2C-3C depending on the curl pattern on the area of my head and is thick. You'd have a better chance and feel of keeping all your hair down if you used olive oil and a boars hair brush.

I love this hair wax stick from Kitsch. First off, the eco friendly cardboard packaging is such a win and you push it up from the bottom to get the product out, which feels both fun and sustainable. I am all for products that cut down on plastic waste. The performance is amazing. I can get really nice slick backs, tame my flyaways, and keep them under control in braids. Bonus: when I use my Gisou Wildflower Honey hair perfume, the scent seems to last even longer in my hair, which I am obsessed with. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars only because sometimes the wax applies a little clumpy, leaving tiny chunks or streaks. I just brush it in to fix it, but it is a bit more noticeable on my thick dark black hair. Still, it is an excellent product I would recommend.
