The oil itself is fine. Pale, sweet nutty flavour, not bitter nor rancid at all at the time of opening. The label states cold pressed, unrefined, organic100% walnut oil, with an EU BG-BIO-19 certification. The price is OK for that. Sourced in Bulgaria, and the label confirms 'grown in Europe' so not travelled mega-miles from US or China. You'd think that they would mention Omega-3 on the label somewhere! Many oils are now 'toasted', which means processed, which you defo don't want with walnut oil. It is presented in a dark, glass bottle, which is essential for this type of oil to keep it at its best. The bottle was in an inner bottle-shaped sleeve inside the Amo packet. The BB date was 6.5 months away, which is quite short, but if the earlier of the 2 dates is the bottling date the oil would have been bottled in 2024, so it's probably as fresh as once could expect. Come spring we will start to use a lot in salad dressings and cold pasta dishes, so it will likely be used before the BB date anyway and we hope it will not have started to deteriorate. The lid was hard to get off as the bottom half spins when you turn the top half and does not split away, probably due not being tightly screwed on at the packing stage thereby allowing a small amount of seepage of oil under the black plastic seal. However, I've occasionally had this on supermarket oil bottles as well so it's not an issue unique to this brand and the seepage is most likely reflective of how it was handled in transit. I would hazard a guess it's been tipped more at Amo than during mass transit. All in all, a good buy after I found our 2 local supermarkets and local deli had ne'er a bottle on their shelves. Apparently a lowering in demand has resulted in farmers taking out their walnuts and replacing with other commercial crops. A shame really. I would buy this again if a similar product was not available to buy in person locally.

The oil arrived promptly and smells delicious (haven't used used it yet - salad dressings) but there was a slight leak in transit - not impressed with that, hence only 4 stars.

Great for maintaining cutting boards and other wood items in kitchen.

Using this for thyroid massage I found the dispenser nozzle a bit messy. I’ve transferred some oil into old CBD oil bottles so I can keep a little bottle next to the bed and one in my bag and that works far better. Product itself seems good quality although I haven’t tried it for food or cooking.

Happy with the dark bottle and nice consistency oil.

I recaived expired bottle. And no taste of nuts. I did use before check the date and now paying the prise. Definitly will no buy again.

Can be used both in salad dressing where its nut flavour adds dimension to the salad and also for fast frying dishes like wok and other dishes. Very versatile.
