WASHINGTON CAPITALS 2018 STANLEY CUP CHAMPION

The title says it all! Although I've been an NHL fan since '84, I've been a fan of the Capitals since the '92-'93 season, when players like Dale Hunter, Kevin Hatcher and Peter Bondra (my most favorite Capitals player of all-time) were on the team and I've stayed loyal to them every season, playoffs or not. This DVD is absolutely amazing! I love how it shows the entire history of the team, dating back to when they started, in '74-75 to the present. I also like the interviews with the players, such as Alex Ovechkin, T.J. Oshie and Braden Holtby as well as then-head coach Barry Trotz. I also enjoyed the review of the regular season and the game-by-game recap of the Stanley Cup playoffs. What I was really pleased with was the fact that a scene was even shown of the team mascot, SLAPSHOT(one of my top 5 favorite NHL mascots). I also enjoyed the special features. So, I recommend this DVD to any Capitals fan or anybody that loves hockey because, believe me, it is WONDERFUL! GO CAPS!!!

the caps finally won the stanley cup and we can go inside the locker room and re live everything in this blu ray ! Is that oveckin spitting on the ice ! Did the caps players play techno when they were not on the ice ? I'm not telling you need to buy the blu ray numb nuts to find out! NOTE THESE ARE NOT GAMES IN ANYWAY AND YOU WILL IN NO WAY RECIEVE A FULL LENGTH FEATURE GAME 6 or 7 IN HD WHATEVER

Greatest movie ever!!!! If you are a Capitals fan, and you have endured (you would know what I mean), then this movie is a must have! I literally have watched this 30 times, and will continue to watch it. It was one of the greatest days in my life (top 3) and this is a great memento to have to remember that amazing run for the cup.

Exactly what I wanted! A little team history, the ugly parts of the season, the team coming together and a game by game summary for the playoffs. It felt really good watching it again, and I will definitely watch this over and over. Also, it's kid friendly...no bad language, just like something they'd show on regular tv.

We love the new DVD, but I wish there was more. I would like to see every game and the Locker Room, Coaches and all that were too little. 4 or 5 minutes is NOT expanded video. Boo Hiss, but we love the video anyhow.

As a fan of the Detroit Red Wings, remembering, reliving the Washington Capitals’ 2017-18 NHL Season in their run in the NHL Playoffs, towards winning their first NHL Stanley Cup Championship in team history is always great, always special!

I agree entirely with Jennifer. This video is fine from a technical aspect. You get nice shots of the big plays in many of the Caps playoff games and some of the big regular season moments. Good interviews with players too. But it really does not do a great job of portraying how the Caps captured the DMV, the excitement, the anticipation, the celebrations. First major sports championship in 26 years is a big freakin' deal. And having a team that was set up in 1974 and had never won one just as big a deal. Tens of thousands in the arena to watch the away games on tv. Multiple tens of thousands outside standing to watch the big screen just to be there. Hundreds of thousands at the parade down Constitution Avenue, a route which no other city can come close to matching. Triumphant Caps players returning to the area and immediately going to celebrate with the fans at local bars, a Nats game and the now famous fountain dive in Georgtown. Even small side stories like TJ Oshie and Matt Niskanen starting to take the subway to playoff games because they didn't want to deal with the crowds around the arena would have been worthwhile. (METRO has now released a subway card in the team's honor). Whatever, it is worth having but it could have been so much better.
