A bit difficult to assemble
Seems sturdy. This platform is rated for 1200 pounds. That's four 300 lb. dancing girls or one very heavy water heater. This HoldRite platform comes with sixteen short machine screws that are used to attach the legs to the table top. Attaching the legs was tricky because the screw holes in the legs will not align with the screw holes in the table top unless clamps are creatively used to pull the holes into alignment or near alignment. Others who have reviewed this product have mentioned that they first put screws in the holes farthest from the leg, partially tightening one screw and then the other until both were tight. That's what you do when you tighten the lug bolts on a car wheel. Doing it this way will help pull the holes into alignment. HoldRite's instructions really should include this advice. The machine screws are self-tapping, which means that they score their own threads as they are screwed in. I used my power drill with a hex head socket. One of the sixteen machine screws would not tighten beyond a certain point, and I'm reluctant to blame myself for that. I don't think I overtightened that screw. I have a complaint about the packaging. When I received the Holdrite stand, the legs, screws, and instruction leaflet were all floating around inside the cardboard box. As a result, the instruction leaflet was crumpled up, and the two long lag screws had perforated the plastic bag that contained them. The condition of the instruction leaflet and screw pouch is not the problem. The problem is that the legs might have ripped the box open. It's hard to believe that this is how HoldRite packaged the product. it seem to me that there should have been some cardboard inside the box that prevented the legs from sliding around . It may be that this Holdrite stand had been returned to Amazon without the cardboard that originally prevented the heavy steel legs from floating around inside the box.

HoldRite 24" Water Heater Stand
I purchased this stand to replace my old one when I replaced my water heater. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. Although it's not the cheapest option, it's well-made with quality materials and provides good value for my money. I trust HoldRite as a brand and have used their products in the past, so I knew the quality would be up to my standards. Additionally, the edges of the stand are relatively safe from a sharp-edge perspective, which is definitely a plus.

A flood zone must-have!
Flooded out water heater in Tampa from Hurrricane Helene. Had the plumber install this with the new water heater'. Super strong, tall!, just perfect. Be sure to measure carefully so they fit together, and under the shelf!

Missing screw
Seems very sturdy but was missing a screw which is pretty critical considering that is how the legs attach.

Works perfectly.
Comes in a simple box, parts aren't secure inside, but don't really need to be. Heavy gauge steel. I saw some complaints regarding screw holes and hardware, happy to say this was a non issue. Only one hole was slightly out of alignment so I started that screw halfway first, and then the rest. Put all four screws in partway on each leg FIRST. Then tighten. If the screws are slightly crooked at the end, you can keep screwing and they'll flatten out as the table edge is compressed no problem! This is thick steel, so when the platform is bent at factory, the bends are very slightly not perfect 90 degrees. Maybe closer to 80-85. If I were using a hand tool, like a screwdriver or wrench, it may have been more difficult. I used a Milwaukee drill with a square bit Phillips. The hardware included extra screws for me. Works great, happy. Wish it wasn't so pricy, but, what isn't these days?

Missing hardware and holes are not aligned!
Do NOT purchase! Did not arrive with the necessary hardware. Came with three screws (no nuts) for 16 holes, one long bolt, and only two floor mounts. Holes between top plate and legs donโt align so you canโt assemble it even with your own hardware. Complete waste of money and job delay.

Great quality stand
Solid stand and great quality. Easy to assemble.

Inaccurate weight rating.
Had to reinforce the middle of the stand with a post when it only had 375 pounds on it. Severely underrated. We put the empty water heater on the stand and it teetered like a weeble wobble. Easy assembly though.

Screw holes not aligned with holes
Ended up returning, not one pre-drilled hole for the screws was properly aligned. As this was a solid steel, heavy product, the misaligned holes could NOT be modified.
