Will this mount on a rimmed tank?

Only if your rim thickness is 5/16 in. or less. The gap in the bracket is about 5/16. Also It will not mount on a rimless tank that has walls thicker than 5/16 inch either.

Has anyone been able to grow sps corals with this light? if so, how far away from light? thanks

I have it on a Fluval Edge 6. But only have LPS.

Will this qork for a 29 gallon?

I personally would recommend to buy two or 29 gallon tank. If you want to have total light coverage. As for par at the bottom of the tank… may not be so good for corals that need stronger like.

Will the light fully cycle through the 24-hour setting repeatedly even if I leave for a weekend? Meaning my phone would not be anywhere nearby.
