Not Godzilla 1985
This appears to be a pirated copy of Godzilla 1984 with english dubbed voices not the American version as advertised. Save yourself the trouble and get the Blu-ray of 1984 instead of this one.

Godzilla 1985 the monster reborn is not what you advertised it does not have Raymond Burr in it
Raymond Burr is not in this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wanted this movie with Raymond Burr in it and when I watched it he was not in it.Because his line in it that I remember the most is this.Mother Nature shows us just how small we really are in the face of Tornado an Earthquake or even a Godzilla.P.S. Raymond Burr made Godzilla popular for the American people. That's the reason why I got it. To see him in it and hear that line. When I watched it all the way through andthere was no Raymond Burr in it. I was disappointed because it was not what was advertised.I want two with him in it. That shows Raymond Burr in Godzilla 1985. This is the second movie.

Total Garbage, Buyer beware!
****DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS TRASH!!!****This is NOT Godzilla 1985, but the NON Raymond Burr Japanese version, Godzilla 1984. Also, it looks like someone burned the disk in in their basement and video quality is horrible! This is supposedly a blu ray, but is a blu ray -R, and the video quality looks worse than a compressed DVD! I am shocked that Amazon allows this, because this is quie possibly a pirated video from China. It comes in DVD sized case, and the Godzilla 1985 sleeve is definitely not official, but likely something someone downloaded and printed with an inkjet printer. I want my money back!****DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS TRASH!!!****

Deceived and disappointed.
ATTENTION: This is NOT the American release of the re-edited "Godzilla 1985" starring Raymond Burr and assorted Americans, some Dr. Pepper product placement, and a cast of Japanese co-stars, despite being advertised as such on the packaging. Rather, this is the English language dub featured on the "Godzilla 1984: The Return of Godzilla" blu-ray, which I have. Sadly, this is also a DVD dub, not a blu ray release. Disappointing, I'm returning this. I ordered this because believed it was a Blu-ray release of Godzilla 1985. I might have accepted a DVD edition of Godzilla 1985, but this bait and switch is unacceptable.

A legend is reborn, the terror returns, and a lesson is relearned in Godzilla 1985
After 15 films, Toho Pictures decided to put Godzilla to rest in 1975. Then nearly a decade later, he returned in "The Return of Godzilla", renamed "Godzilla 1985" for its American release. This is a direct sequel to the original film, ignoring all of the other sequels, rebooting the franchise. Godzilla returns as the terrifying evil monster that he was in the original film, and apart from a small appearance by a mutant sea louse, Godzilla is the only monster in the film just like he was in the original. And like the American release of the original Godzilla movie, "Godzilla 1985" was heavily re-edited and included newly added material featuring actor Raymond Burr, who reprises the role of reporter Steve Martin. This movie has got a great plot, and its very reminiscent of the first Godzilla movie, with lots of action, and some suspenseful and chilling moments. Unfortunately, unlike the original Godzilla film, this film was not helped by the American studio tampering with it. Unlike the first film, I did not think Raymond Burr added anything to the story, except for his final speech at the end, and his scenes just interrupted the action and made the film drag somewhat. All of the other American actors that were added did a terrible job and the lines they were given were cheesy as hell. You have countless Dr. Pepper ads incorporated into the film, and they re-edited a scene to make it look like the Russians intentionally launched a nuclear missile at Tokyo; in the original edit, the launch controls were damaged and malfunctioning, and the Russian officer tried everything he could to stop it, but failed. But of course for the American edit they had to make it seem like he intentionally launched it himself. But other than the bad editing and the added American material, I found the film very enjoyable and fun. It would still be a great shame for any G-fan not to have this in their collection.Highly Recommended!

If I could I'd leave a negative.
This claims to be a bluray and I got a DVD. I also got a bootleg copy of Godzilla 1984 NOT Godzilla 1985 which this claims to be. Godzilla 1985 has Raymond Burr back as the reporter from the original Godzilla movie and this is just a straight dupe of Godzilla 1984. Do not buy this.

Not Godzilla 1985 Where is Raymond
This is most definitely not Godzilla 1985 but it is the 1984 Return of Godzilla. No Raymond, no Dr Pepper. Too bad as I wanted that version to complete the Raymond Burr saga of Godzilla. Burr had great respect for the character and wrote the ending speach himself that was fantastic. well, I guess I'll keep looking. Pass this by as this one is not it. Good luck to you all.
