Saved my fingers and nails!
I was pleasantly surprised. This cuts through that hard shell so I don't have to break my nails. Now can't wait for crawfish season again ๐

Will be good for some
These crawfish peeler tools are not the best quality (pretty flimsy) but they do offer some assistance for the novice crawfish eater or those that are maybe trying to stay clean (but then why are you at a crawfish boil). They work ok once you get the hang of things but are better on smaller crawfish. I also don't like that the chrome finish leaves nothing for you to "hang on to" so when your fingers eventually get dirty (and they will) the tool can be hard to grip. Overall, they are inexpensive enough to give it a try if you think you'll use them, but you'll likely find that the "traditional" way is faster, cleaner and less of a hassle.

It could be better
I'm an AVID Crawfish eater as well as 90% of all other seafood. I must say this Crawfish Tool was a good idea but it's awkward and isn't so great. I love eating shelled seafood with my hands- gloves or not and sometimes melt butter for dipping. However, this contraption doesn't have a handle, ridges, or finger grips to grasp. It's just smooth chrome with no clasp to prevent it from slipping from between your fingers. Aside from that, my biggest issue was that it splices the Crawfish meat. In my case, the tool was about a 1/2 inch from the edge on both sides of the Crawfish Tail. It literally cut into the meat and actually left some wedged into the edges. It's ok for eating small Crawfish as the ones I usually eat are larger than those pictured. Even with that, it needs some sort of grip or traction for people like me that loves getting Butter and Seafood Boil all over my fingers.

Nice peeler tool
I got these for our first crawfish boil in Louisiana. These are easy to use and pretty straight forward. They are smooth and do not hurt your hands or fingers. Easy to pinch the tails and pull them apart. This makes eating crawfish more enjoyable!

Pretty useless
This is a pretty useless product because it doesn't work well for the crawfish tail. Since the crawfish tail is curled, this peeler tool will not be able to do its job. Also, the size is only good for small sizes. I will not recommend this product to crawfish eaters like me. Still, the old-fashioned way of eating crawfish or peeling it is the most effective way to do.

Breaks legs from shell
The 'peeler' breaks the legs from the shell - I guess that's peeling it, in a sense. It doesn't feel practical, as it takes longer to straighten the tail and get it in the 'peeler' than it does just to peel the tail the usual way. Perhaps it will work for a chef preparing a handful of tails or for anyone who is only eating a few crawfish at a time and doesn't want to get their nails involved in breaking the legs away from the shell, but anyone who eats a few pounds of crawfish at a sitting won't find this to be very convenient. The item is well packaged; 3 peelers come in a pack.

Stick with your fingers
Hard to hold onto, smooth metal with no handle. Only works on smaller sized crawfish. Even then, when you punch the serrated edges into the tail, it breaks the shell into small fragments that embed into the meat. I found it easier to just use my fingers, even on the large crawfish with thick shells.
