Duratrel 11157 Estate Heavy Duty Trellis White PVC 58 Inch x 94 Inch (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Bought to camouflage some electric boxes on the house. It works really well. Very happy with the purchase.

Anchored with a cinder block instead of stakes provided to add height for a tall climbing rose. Leaned trellis against side of house without anchoring to siding, and so far it stayed in place through several windy storms. Very pleased to replace what was left of a wood trellis with this very sturdy and beautiful maintenance-free version.

Nice trellis. Good warranty. These need to either be attached to your siding, deck, porch etc. with the included hardware or into the ground sturdily. The assembly instructions ars pretty good with one confusing part (the shorter vertical beams fit into the horizontal pieces from the top--to hold them, so when it says to place the 3 horizontal pices "face down", it rea!ly means with the openings up and the closed sides of the cutouts down. It's easiest to lay out on the grass to assemble. Also lay out with the four little pre-drilled holes on the edges up, because this is where you put in the little screws to hold the whole thing together. When putting on the wall mounting screws with the spacers, you will need a square-tipped bit to screw in the #10 6 inch screws. It doesn't tell you what size of bit you need & it's not included. I left a message for their parts customer service but have not received a response. Upon Googling this, it says an 8, 9 or 10 guage screw needs a #2 square or Robertson bit (apparently widely used in Canada). So maybe that's the answer. Learned something new!

I have this leaning against the house in a side yard where the blank wall needed "something". This is perfect, just the right height and design. Since I don't want the bother and care required to start a true vining plant, I also purchased silk ivy vines and vines with white roses. Dresses up the side yard wonderfully. I also read reviews before purchase and followed the suggestion on assembly to start it flat on the grass. Was really easy at that point. I only goofed up once when I had a horizontal bar facing down instead of up but it was a quick redo. I appreciated the suggestions from the other reviews. Not including a picture because my trellis looks just like the one in the product picture. Came out great. Thinking of getting another one for the front yard.

this trellis comes in pieces but is very easy to assemble. It is very sturdy and a very lovely design especially with the finials at the top of each upright rail. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because if you want to use it in an open area as opposed to next to your house, there doesn't seem to be a good way to secure it other than to bury about 1/3 of it in the ground and even then I am not so sure it would hold up against a strong wind such as where I live. So, even though I have no plans to plant anything up next to the house, I have stood it up against a big blank brick wall and it makes for a lovely decoration until I figure out a way to secure it, without having to bury half of it, in the open area where I originally intended for it to go.

The unit is great in every way except it was missing one piece. You should know by looking at it that it takes assembly as it consists of straight pieces only. One of the 7 small caps was missing and it is a pain to have to go about getting a small part of this big product. It did not impede function so i have it in use and have not taken the time to contact the seller.

I rarely buy vinyl anything, prefering wood, but this is a very attractive trellis. I mounted it to the front of our house as a permanent ornament on its own. I don't intend on planting anything on it. It lends extra dimension and appeal to the house all on its own. Set up was fairly simple.

I received the trellis today, just two days after ordering. Assembly was a breeze. It's a nice, elegant looking trellis. I have some question whether or not the horizontal members will sag over time. I hope not. Otherwise, it appears reasonably well made. I would give it four stars, but I'll deduct one because I have to provide my own glue. It would have been very simple to include a small tube of glue in the parts bag.
