This is a good bulb - pay attention to the wattage
For some reason many 3-way lamps are not made to use the 50-100-150 light bulb, which I find annoying because I like good bright light. I have used this bulb for years because I like the full-spectrum light it gives. I have found it to last for months or even more than a year with regular use. I actually came back to this site looking for the 30-70-100 watt version which is what more of my lamps use and it doesn't seem to be available anymore. I try to use LED bulbs but for many situations the light is just not as good - they still need work.I would like to add for the people who are finding that the bulb is only giving one level of light - that light bulb is BROKEN! Get your money back. These bulbs usually do have one filament that burns out first and then you have a one way bulb but I find a use for that until it's all burned out. Also, look to see what wattage your lamp takes - many, if not most 3-ways do not use this wattage and it can be dangerous to use them in those lamps.

Nice Lighting
I like this 3-way bulb. Gives off a nice warm light. I miss incandescent light bulbs. This is too expensive but worth it to me to have a healthy light which is much more pleasant and gives a much nicer ambiance to a room. I hope it lasts long.

Bulb was blown and looked used
Received the bulb and immediately put it on my lamp and the bulb does not work. I unscrewed the bulb and held it under my bathroom light and I can see the filament moving around inside.I need an incandescent 3 way bulb for a touch lamp I’ve had for years and LED bulbs do not work. I was excited for this purchase and now I am annoyed.

Same old great full spectrum bulb.
I found a couple of these Chromalux Full Spectrum bulbs in a box of stuff recently, I'd bought them 3 decades ago or so. One of them worked. So I bought another one. I put one each where my sig. other reads - one in the living room and one on her night table. She commented the other day, "I can read my books now without turning another light on !"Yup, they work. You really notice the difference in light, much "smoother" no harshness. I had looked at the LED variety but one commenter said the LED's have a little way to go to match the incandescents, so I went with what I knew worked. I had originally got them for the "Dark Time of year" daylight savings end until the first snow when the sunsets are 4:13 in the north Northeast but the sun goes behind the mountain at 3. I don't get SAD -Seasonal Affective Disorder, but I do feel the difference with less daylight. Full spectrum bulbs really help.

STRANGE SETTINGS.
I love the light Chromalux bulbs give. For the last batch I ordered, Setting one is medium light, setting two is low light, and setting three is bright light. Very odd.

Mood Booster in a Bulb
This bulb is a lifesaver. My office is cave-like and windowless, and it had been taking a toll on my energy, mental health, and sleeping habits. I bought this bulb with some trepidation after reading the mixed reviews (it's a lot of money to spend if the bulb is going to blow out one week in), and have had it in my desk lamp for about two months now with no issues. As some reviewers have mentioned (here and in reviews for other Lumiram bulbs on Amazon), the bulb does tend to get a bit hot, but it's not noticeable to me until I go to turn the lamp off at the end of the day - it doesn't seem to make much of an impact on my overall office temperature. In terms of its ability to alleviate the issues I'd been experiencing last winter, the bulb has performed very well. Two days after sticking it in the lamp, I had more energy and was less grumpy (to the point that some of my coworkers noticed and commented on it). I don't think it did much for the sleeping issues, but two out of three ain't bad. I liked this bulb so much that I bought others for four other lamps - another in my office, and three more at home. I don't notice the effect as much anymore, but the grumpiness and fatigue don't seem to have returned. To me, that means this bulb has done what it claims to do, and I don't think I can ask for anything more than that. If you're having problems with SAD and/or just have a dreary windowless office like mine, you should seriously consider getting one (or more) of these bulbs. I have no idea how they do it, but they work well for their stated purpose!

It's 100-50-150 instead of 50-100-150?
I used to buy these at local nutrition coop. I like them for reading. This one is different in that the first setting is the middle setting, then the low, then the high. Not really a problem but takes some getting used to.
