I'd consumed golden seal for years. this is the first time I ordered this brand. How come it did not taste/smell/look like (yellow) golden seal?

The season it was harvested can affect the color. This goldenseal is bitter like it should be. All I can tell you is it works as well as goldenseal I usually use

Bag says “clean and pure” is this organic?

“Clean and pure” , as I’m sure you know.... do Not mean organic. I have not had the time yet to read the label fully since I am working and use it in my practice as a Natural Health Practitioner. I would have preferred to order from Maui but they didn’t have any product listings so I went with this one. Is goldenseal this from the root or leaves?
