Great book to read in leisure time

知り合いに勧められて英訳版を購入。「LISTEN」と同様、どうやって相手の意見や思いを引き出すか、なぜそのことが重要なのか、を理解できる良書。

Not only you get the questions, you get the reasoning behind them, as well as practice exercises. Oh, and links to videos and suggestions for I expect to be other good reads (based on the books that I've already read).

マツダミヒロさんの「しつもん上司術」という本を読んで、質問って面白いな、と思った。職場の部下との会話で質問を使ってみたら、前よりスムーズに対話が進んだ。そして、ストレスがやや減った。そんな中、この本に出会った。著者のアドバイスは、「アドバイスは止めて、もっと質問しよう」というもの。最新の脳科学の知識も活用して、シンプルに分かりやすく説明してくれる。著者が勧める質問は、次のとおり。“What's on your mind?”「何を考えてるの？」あるいは、「いま、何が気がかり？」

There are some good ideas in this book, but it could all be summarized in two pages at most.The main theme - asking questions suggested by the author would have you winning the most annoying manager award if followed literally. The principle of substituting questions for advice is good, but there needs to be a lot more subtlety to it. The author, on the other hand, is advising to follow a script that is sure to annoy anyone with any capacity for critical thinking.
