Princes Rhubarb in Light Syrup (540g) - Pack of 2

My brother in law loves rhubarb custard pie for the holidays. Well, I’m in Georgia. Good luck trying to find rhubarb when it’s in season, little alone any other time. This is perfect at making a yummy custard pie.

Shameful to send this to anyone. Mostly water. Appearance kept me from tasting. The picture is after o drained the canm

The taste was different than expected along with the color. It was not a good value for the money. It took two cans to make one 9 Inch pie. Quality was not what I called good and after baking still not good. I will try to find frozen.

I was worried when I opened the can as it looked like the pictures shown but I made a rhubarb pie and it was great was great! I did drain off the liquid and didn’t use it. Today I ordered 2 more cans.

Yes it looks disgusting but great option if fresh not available. Bake a cake. 4 eggs, 180g sugar, 170g flour, 150g dbutter(melted), 1tsp baking powder, vanilla. Drain and wash rhubarb, mix with abit sugar.Whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy and white, add butter & vanilla - combine, slowly add flour baking powder mix and gently mix together Pour to baking pan add rhubarb pieces on top(i add bottom too) . 350f 30-40min or until done.

Not a fan but wife loves it, so.

I’ve seen several complaints about how it looks coming out of the can (tan/gray in color) and after some research, found that it’s perfectly normal. The heat of the canning process does something to the pigment, so if you want a nice pink pie, plan to add some strawberry’s, food coloring or cranberry juice. With that said, we made a rhubarb pie (added some strawberries), adjusted for the softness (that happens to all canned fruits or vegetables) and it came out great!

This was delivered to the wrong house. I spent an hour tracking it down. Later I opened a can, only to find that it contained part of a rhubarb leaf. Rhubarb leaves are POISONIOUS ! I threw it away! Will NEVER order from these people again. I

Prince's rhubarb makes a very good pie crumble, and it's a very good price too

Worth the money with a taste lovely would buy again.

The product itself was exactly as expected from previous last purchased elsewhere. Chunky pieces of rhubarb in light sryup. Ideal for cooking or served as it is. HOWEVER, due to the cost £5.00 per item I will look elsewhere for future purchases. Also I don't think it should be advertised as 'Sugar fix', rhubarb is a healthy option but it a sour taste I use artificial sweetener with mine.

They’ve got a very short sale by date May 2024 I would’ve thought they would’ve had a longer sell by date considering they were £4.10. I haven’t used them yet so I’m hoping when I open them but the rhubarb is alright inside as the day is so short
