Bought because work swapped our solid wooden desks with tall backs with flat, white, plastic, open plan desks, but did not shade the windows from bright sunlight. You couldn’t see the screens because the sun was too bright and burning through unprotected windows. The shade did the job well. I clipped it to the metal shelf struts on the desk and the bendable arm twisted how I needed it. I even clipped it to the desk divider and it held.

Does exactly what I needed. Was thinking through all kinds of expensive options to block sun in my conservatory office and then came across this. Perfect for the time the sun hits my screen! Easy to fold away and bring out when needed

This does nothing to help me work outside on my laptop. I have an HD screen, it looks black as soon as you go outside. This shade didn't help, I had to buy a tent-style sun shield instead. Actually, you know what works best? A cardboard box. Stick your laptop in a cardboard box, that way the sun is blocked on all four sides. It looks ghetto, but it probably works better than the mini-sun-shield-tent I just bought. As for THIS product, I use it to cover the keyboard - it cuts down on glare, and makes the screen more visible. But it doesn't work to block the sun from above or from the sides, at all. Not if I'm trying to use my laptop outside on a very sunny day.

Highly recommend. I don’t know what I would’ve done without this at my office desk. I hooked it to the back of my monitors and it does a great job of keeping the sun out of my eyes.
