I bought this specifically for popcorn salt and it does it's job. The holes are small enough to sprinkle the fine salt on popcorn.

I like everything about it. Salt and pepper together, just be careful about using too much.

I wanted a fine shaker to put baking soda in to sprinkle on cat litter without putting too much. The cap is easy to open but secure. It wont come off. This works so well. Couldn't be happier.
