Topicals Sealed Active Scar Filling Primer for Acne Prone Skin - Good for Blemishes, Pores, Acne & Dryness - Contains Retinol and Salicylic Acid - 1 Oz

This stuff is amazing for deep pitted acne scars and big wrinkles, you just need to need to know how to prep your skin first and not be in a rush. I don’t use it all over, just in my pitted acne scars/ice pick scars. Exfoliate (use a textured cotton pad and your favorite toner to remove dead skin near your blemishes and dry patches), liberally moisturize your face and neck/chin (I pat in the equate oil free moisturizer) and let that set for 7 minutes. Then precisely as possible, generously fill in your scars with this stuff and let that set until it feels not sticky but absorbed (at least 5 minutes). Then pat in your every day primer every where else, do not rub and do not swipe (I use smashbox photo finish bc I’m basic like that). Once again, let that set for at least 5 minutes (filling in deep scars is a process, like filling in a hole in your wall, do it right and do not rush or it will show). Proceed with your normal oil free/matte make up routine, use a matte setting spray and you’re good. My photo was taken on the spot for this review after being in the July sun with my oily 38 yr old acne prone/acne scarred skin.

I was so scared to spend money on this product. It looked like it could go either way. I have been searching for a product to put on a scar on my face where I had a biopsy and I was left with an indent. There were not many people who addressed this type of scar on the reviews. I used the product two days in a row so far and I am so happy I took the chance. I do feel it was odd to put this on the scar first, then my moisturizer, then my sunscreen and then my tinted face product. But the instructions on the package are correct this goes on first. It filled in the scar and blurred it. I feel like this was a big win!!!! As far as using it as a primer all over my face, that is not what I needed. But my biopsy indented scar looks much less noticeable.

I wanted to love this, it has some good ingredients and good reviews but it failed miserably. Followed the instructions exactly as listed on the box which is weird because it tells you to wear this under your moisturizer. Immediately after applying it didn't really do anything, didn't make any deep marks "smoother" just kinda sat on my skin I could feel the silicone. later that night my skin just felt dry and irritated which I get happens sometimes with new products but this didn't do anything for me so not worth dealign with it. I only tried this product because their Faded cream does work very well and def recommend that.

It’s a great primer but don’t expect it to fill in scars. It does minimize a bit.

I must be doing something wrong… I have large pores on the sides and top of my nose. I don’t think they are anything drastic and oversized. Just scars from pimple popping back in the 80s. I was influenced to purchase this primer by Mikayla Nogueira and thought I had found a way to diminish these pores. I must be doing something wrong because it doesn’t work very well. Even when first applied, I don’t see much change in my pores. The directions say to use a light film, but that’s not going to fill in anything. When I put it on a tiny bit thicker it sort of becomes dry and flaky and can be seen. There is no scent and you get quite a bit of product for the purchase price but… I think I need to do some research online regarding how to use this product properly. I’m just not impressed and might give this away. This is not a win for me.
