The best root touch up i have found yet. Blends my grey’s with my dark hair perfectly

The application was surprisingly easy and it didn’t take long to cover the areas I wanted but I did have to be careful not to apply too much or it would look a little heavy. I wore it throughout the day to see how it would hold up and I was impressed that even after a full day at work and running errands it stayed in place without smudging or coming off on my hands when I touched my hair. Even when I accidentally rubbed my head a couple of times it didn’t transfer onto my fingers which was a relief because I was worried about it getting on my clothes or pillow at night. I’ve used it in different lighting to check if it looks too harsh or artificial and so far it blends in nicely without drawing attention to itself. One thing I did notice is that if my scalp is a little oily it can take a little more effort to get it to stick evenly so I try to use it when my hair is clean or at least not too greasy. I also tested it on a rainy day and while I wouldn’t say it’s completely waterproof it held up better than I expected without streaking down my forehead or washing away instantly in light drizzles. The fact that it comes with two refills is a nice touch because I don’t have to worry about running out too soon.

I am in love with this product. I have LOCS and I inherited the thin hairline from my family heritage, so this is such a great camouflage for the sparse areas. My daughter didn't even notice I was wearing it. Great purchase!!! Thanks

I have been looking for something to cover my salt and pepper root line between colorings. Nothing really works well but hope springs eternal so I decided to give this a try.I didn't have a full choice of colors for Vine review so I chose the one I thought was closest to the faded color near the grown out roots. Light Brown based on the photos in the listing.The product comes nicely packaged and includes 3 small cakes of color, one already loaded in the holder. There are two application tools cleverly hidden in the product holder. A small tip that doubles as the handle of the hinged cap, and a larger application pad that's hidden ion the bottom. There is a mirror in the top above the powder cake. You need to take the protective film off it. There is also an included tool for removing the cake tin so it can be replaced.The powder is a slightly waxy texture so it doesn't go flying everywhere, but doesn't make your hair greasy. it can be combed or brushed through after application in order to ensure a smooth color transition and blend.I included a before and after of my part. This is 3 weeks late on a color at the salon.The product went on easily and blended with one brush through. Close enough for a few days use before a salon visit, but I'd suggest getting one shade darker than you think you need based on the on-line listing photos. I could definitely have gone darker if I had had the option.No gritty feel or itchiness after application.I'm holding onto this to use as my stylist and I continue my slow transition to full salt and pepper. However I fully intend to purchase this in a darker shade to use now.Based on my previous experience with this type of product the was a pleasant surprise. An excellent product for anybody who needs a temporary cover for roots that washed away. I also like that the packaging makes it easy to carry along for travel or for any touch ups during the day.I can't speak to if it works to conceal thinning areas or alopecia. However I can highly recommend it for root touch up.

This hairline powder does basically what it claims. It's sort of like eyeshadow but for the hairline. I like that the package includes a large applicator at the bottom, as well as a narrow one in the cat shaped topper (it's not just a decoration). The included refills are a thoughtful touch so that this will last a while, and the built-in mirror, while a bit too small to be useful for me, may be useful to others. The dark brown color is pretty accurate to my dark brown hair.I will say that this type of powder doesn't give as much coverage/realism as shake-on hair fibers, but the benefit of this product is that it's not messy at all. I don't have to worry about flakes falling off if I touch my hair or about making a mess with application, which are huge benefits. If you just need a bit of filling in then this should do the trick; but it's mostly just coloring in the bare spots, so maybe not great for larger patches or severe hair loss.

I've been a bit insecure recently about my hairline as I've been suffering from hormonal hair loss and I'm still quite young.. I gave this a go and was honestly pleasantly surprised!As background: I have black hair (not dyed, asian hair) and my hair is naturally very shiny and slick, so I was initially a bit concerned as to how this would sit on my hair but it blended in seamlessly onto my hair and skin! You can feel it a bit on your hair if you remember where you put it as it feels a bit dry, but it's nothing extreme and not particularly a bad thing. Most of all, it makes it look like your hair is a lot more filled in!I would recommend this product for anybody looking to fill in their hairline or darken up their roots!

Love this! The power hides any areas that you are trying to cover very well. It's easy to apply - it has a larger sponge and a much smaller sponge (with the cat-shaped handle) for different coverages. I got black - it goes on easily without making a mess (unlike some others, any excess won't fall off your head). The power is matte and does not have any shine, which helps with any concealment. It comes off easily when washing, but if you leave it alone, it will last all day. I love that it comes with two extra refills. Not sure how well this will do if you get it wet through or if you work out and your scalp starts sweating - it says it's sweat and waterproof, but I haven't been able to test. For my intended uses, though, I love it, and this is very effective.
