Werner AC78 Quickclick Stabilizer , 45"

I'm a DIY-er with a 1930's single story house. I recently used my Werner AC78 Quickclick Ladder Stabilizer over the course of two full days while replacing all of the gutters on my 1,000sq/ft house. I attached it to a Little Giant Leveler. If you're wondering... yes, you can rest it on your roof and clear 5 inch K gutters easily. I’ve been using this stabilizer for almost two years and it works great overall. It makes the ladder feel much more stable and safe.The only downsides are the little rubber end caps — they wore out and got destroyed over time, so I had to buy replacements. I wish it came with an extra set from the start. Also, the small chain broke eventually and I had to weld it back together.Other than that, it’s been solid and I still use it regularly.

It is easy to install, it is light, super practical and adapts well to the ladder, easy to put on, take off and store. It works well separating the ladder from the wall, it has been very useful for cleaning gutters.

Attaches very easily and is very stable. It would be nicer if the legs were a little longer so the standoff distance was greater, maybe an extra 2 inches. Be sure to measure the inside width of your ladder to be sure this unit will fit. I am using it on a fold-up ladder and it just barely fits, I may have to grind off 1/8-1/4 inch so it fits easier.

This stabilizer probably saved my life. I used it while installing lights around the top of my two-story house, especially on the hard-to-reach peaks. Before this, my ladder would slide on the siding, making it genuinely dangerous to work at that height. With the stabilizer attached, the ladder held firm and didn’t budge an inch.It gave me the stability and confidence I needed to get the job done safely. For the security and peace of mind it adds, this thing is absolutely worth it. A must-have for any serious ladder work around the house.

Definitely recommend

This is very easy to install and is very safe. I have an older version from another company that had 4 wing nuts to install, but this took several minutes and if you have different roof heights, like my house, it is so cumbersome that I avoided using it.This item changes heights easily and even has a hook for a paint can or tool bucket. I bought this because I am painting my house and just could not use the old version.I highly recommend this item and would buy it again if I lost it.
