Now my hands are soft, hydrated, and flake free. I even smear a tiny dab on my heels, throw on socks, and wake up with feet that are baby soft. It’s a true game changer. Yes, it smells “fresh from the sheep” at first…but worth it. After years of frustration: no more flakes, no more cracking. I now have healthy, happy skin. Easily one of my best purchases this year!

I’ve tried so many different rash creams and ointments for my granddaughter and this ONE is hands down the BEST, don’t hesitate to try it. It does have a different smell but it works which is most important.

I've been using Lansinoh lanolin often for the past 11 years. It's the only thing that will keep my lips, nostrils and hands from drying out and cracking in the wintertime. I apply before bed every night. I needed to resupply and thought I'd check Amazon to see if I could get more bang for my buck, and this lanolin delivered. Unfortunately, it also delivers a barnyard scent. I used to work on a dairy farm and drank raw milk daily. The smell of this lanolin is reminiscent of those days. I have a little nostalgic attachment to the aroma, which is the reason I'm not returning it. I've been using the Lansinoh on my face, and this lanolin on my hands, so the smell won't get to be too much. It works! My hands feel good, even if they don't smell very good. The texture is just like any other lanolin I've used. If I'd have known about the odor I'd probably have ordered a different one.

I love this product! I originally got this to use as nipple cream when my son was born. Luckily I did not have to use it. It set unused for months. Then one day my son got a diaper rash, we used all the typical creams I had been gifted at my baby shower. Nothing totally cleared it. I was to the point of almost calling his pediatrician until I remembered I had a brand new bottle of lanolin sitting in my drawer. I figured if it was safe for nipples it was safe for his rash. It worked!! The rash was completely cleared within hours! Love this cream!! I’m buying my 3rd bottle, felt it was only right leaving a review!! It works!!

This lanolin was well reviewed and seemed like a good price. I'm not sure if it's because this one is 100% lanolin and perhaps the others I have used in the past haven't been, but this stuff is awful. I find it really odd that it claims to be good for breastfeeding, yet the packaging also says the nipple must have all residue of it removed before feeding and that it shouldn't be ingested. (Even my lactation consultant found that concerning.) It is also extremely thick and goopy, which makes it difficult to feel as if it is all actually getting off. (Even after trying to do so thoroughly, the baby would act as if something tasted funny at first latch.) The smell is also pretty strong and not pleasant. I think perhaps this product might be better suited to things like chapped hands and the like, but I am not comfortable continuing to use it for nursing purposes.

My son is almost 7 weeks old and he has had this stubborn diaper rash since he was about a week old. We have tried every cream/paste, did tons of air time, frequent changing with no wipes only mild soap & water and NOTHING was helping. Not even the antibiotic the doctor prescribed him. Tried this midday and it was gone by morning. I'm so happy I finally found something that worked for him.

It does a good job at moisturizing, I’ll give it that. But this shii smells and tastes like a freakin farm. *gag* I had gotten it to use as lip balm (by someone’s recommendation), but there’s no way I could use it as lip balm, I had to wipe it off right away.
