Mountain Animals Placemat

These place mats are nicely colored pictures of all kinds of animals. The animals are all named on the front side of the two sided mats and the reverse side provides additional pictures and information. The mats can be drawn on with dry erase or washable markers and in my estimation are robust enough to ward off the occasional table banging by your youngster. Finally, according to the manufacturer are easily cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner.

I actually bought this placemat to set my dog's food & water dishes on while she is eating. I like that I am able to place it in the dishwater to give it a quick washing at the end of each day. It is very sturdy & it is exactly what I was looking for!

Just received. Looks like great quality to clean after every meal. I am sure any 2 year old will welcome these during mealtime. Fun, colorful, educational, and nice bonus the back has opportunity to color the animals and learn different languages for each animal. Will need to look for washable markers. Look forward to giving this gift!

The first one arrived damaged. It’s very stiff but either the seller or Amazon bent it to fit into a box (why?!) and then it was cracked & broken & wouldn’t lay flat. The replacement was sent flat and not damaged, so that’s good. It’s cute & sturdy & fun for kids.

These are think lamination placemats that are sturdy and easy to wipe off and clean. It is exactly what I wanted from a placemat for my toddler. The pictures and scenes are great. My son points at each animal which is amazing to me that a 15 month old is looking at these and can recognize the differences. I had initially tried the silicon style but found that wiping dried food (yes it happens) was awful. These placemats can withstand a wet rag or sponge and clean up nicely. Looking to buy the other styles even though the 4-pack is plenty for the time being.

I bought 2 of these placemats for my children in May and so far they look just like new. They are colorful and beautiful!! We don't live in the US and English is not our first language, so during the meals I try to teach them a little by talking about the animals and playing a few games (I say the name of an animal and they try to find it as fast as possible, for example). They love it!! We also have the ones with sea animals, and they are just as beautiful and fun! We haven't tried painting them yet, so I can't say how that will work. When they start losing interest we'll explore the other acivities that can be done with them...

I ordered 4 placemats for my 3 kids and this one is their favorite!! They are all animal lovers. My 3 and 7 year old can easily identify each animal, plant and tree species on the cover after only about a week of having them. The back of this placemat has interesting facts about each animal which is AWESOME!! This is truly a 2 sided placemat--my 7 year old is able to read aloud the facts and enjoys teaching his little sister and brother about the animals.This is a laminated placemat which makes clean up after snacks/meals as well as art projects an absolute breeze. One of the 4 placemats I ordered unfortunutley wasn't laminated and it's hard to clean (and I know it won't last as long as the laminated ones will).

This placemat makes lunchtime a lot of fun for a toddler! You can spin all kinds of stories and conversation around the various pictures. Plus, the reverse is very educational for older children and adults!
