Aries BlackBird X10 Quadcopter with built in 16MP Still/Cine Camera Aries

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER!!! I PURCHASED THIS THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MY BOYFRIEND. THE MOTOR WILL NOT WORK. AND THE SELLER REFUSED TO REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN LONGER THAN 14 DAYS SINCE MY PURCHASE! I DIDNT WANT MY MONEY BACK JUST FOR THEM TO REPLACE MY DEFECTIVE ITEM! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

This was a pig in a poke. For the price ($250), I didn't expect the highest quality, and that's what I got. It's sturdy and well built, but it doesn't fly very well--it overshoots when you center the sticks, and there's no way to 'tweak' the flight controller, or update it.It's scary to try and thread it through any kind of obstacles.Video is decent--it's stabilized in pitch, but not roll, and combined with the overshooting control inputs is unpleasant to watch.

The Aries itself was reasonably good for the extremely short (one flight) time that I had it for. This review is mostly for Adorama's customer service. I received this item as a gift. When I opened it, the battery didn't work. I contacted Adorama who said the X10 had been discontinued and so they could only issue a refund for a full return. Rather than return it right away I tried to fix the battery myself. I was successful in getting the battery to finally take a charge. However during the first flight the quadcopter cut off in mid air, the props stopped immediately and the drine flipped upside down landing upside down rear first on one of the prop arms. The prop arm and half the fuselage broke clean off.I returned the Quadcopter to Adorama with a note about what happend. They issued a FULL refund to the person who bought me the item. I was extremely satisfied with their service! 3 stars for the Aries (wasn't built/engineered very well) and 5 stars for Adorama!

i just bought the Aries BlackBird X10 and it didn't come with the manual, can someone tell me what the wifi password is.

Horrible, iPhone doesn't even have the app for it any more and it gave me problems all the way.

Very glitchy machine. It flies just fine, but seems to be problems with the software. I bought mine from Adorama, and thankfully got a pretty good deal. BUT...the FailSafe Return feature doesn't work. My copter survived 3 full speed crashes when I activated the FailSafe Return. Each time, it gained altitude and then took off to the West and dive-bombed into the ground. Of course the return policy is totally useless, as items must be returned in "mint, unused condition"...I guess I'll play with it until its gone and then buy a DJI....Update...11/24..I decided to plead my case to Adorama, and behold! They said they would replace the copter since the damage was due to a manufacturer's fault. They sent me a prepaid UPS label and I sent the damaged copter back. Haven't received the new one yet, but I'm happy with the prognosis...

This was a great quad when it worked. Bought one and for the first week it flew flawlessly and video was crisp and sharp. After that first week the GPS would not lock and the video connection became erratic and video quality declined. I exchanged it for a new one and my first time out it set up properly, I got it air born and it took off (flyaway). Thankfully I was in the middle of just planted corn fields and was able to retrieve it and it was not damaged. I sent it back and received a full refund within the 30 day return policy. The circuit boards appear to me to be very buggy. Buy this quad at your own risk and assume that you will be throwing $700 out the window. I am waiting for the release of the DJI Phantom 3 Pro. Hoping for better board quality with that one. (Let's see if Aries has the stones to let this review publish) Happy flying and cheers!
