Easy Load Screw-On Extended Cage

I purchased a Primo water cooler from Wal-Mart after Thanksgiving and got tired of spilling water. I'm glad I did some research and found that most Primo coolers have a longer water in-take needle than most the standard coolers. The cap works and really minimizes spillage. It still does drip a little bit but its much easier to clean up than by just trying to quickly turn the jug upside down and placing it on the cooler. The jug wobbles a little bit now due to the cap and I haven't quite figured out why yet. All in all it works makes things a lot easier.

Great idea but the post on my Newair hot/cold water dispenser is to long. I can use it but my water jugs don't sit fully upright on the dispenser. When either one of the 3 or 5 gallon jugs are half empty I am afraid that they might get knocked off because they lean to one side by a few degrees, so I have to be careful not to bump them when they are low on water. I replaced it after a few months with a different style.

This item does ultimately accomplish its purpose by making it so that when you tip the jug over the water does not go splashing all over the place, and it does work with a Primo water cooler that has a probe. That being said, this item does not seal the bottle and prevent it from leaking if the water jug is not standing upright. I have found that I had to use the cap the water jug came with for transporting it to prevent leakage, then put this specialty cap on right before putting it in the water cooler. I am able to do so that only a little bit of water starts to leak out of the jug into the reservoir, and then place the jug in place. So yes it does work by preventing water from splashing everywhere, but it does not completely seal the jug from leaking.

I decided to stop my water delivery, and just use tap water with my no-spill water cooler. I got this top to go with the  Bluewave BPA Free 3 Gallon Reusable Water Bottle , and it does screw on perfectly. I had read a previous review on the shorter cage, and took the reviewer's advice to get the extended cage if the middle post was over 2 inches. The post on my Primo water cooler was right around 2.5 inches. This extended cage works great, fits as it should. The dispenser top seems pretty sturdy.It is easier to spill using this than with the tops my bottle delivery came with, but as long as you invert the bottle pretty quickly, I only once spilled a few drops. Having the 3 gallon bottles makes this easier. Overall, I would recommend this.

I have a Primo brand water cooler. I bought these lids so I could keep refilling my five gallon water jugs at Wal-mart. Refilling my own jugs costs a fraction of what having water delivered does. Anyway, these extended gage screw on adapters are just a bit too short. When I first tip the bottle onto the cooler unit, it sits fine because the weight of the water pushes the jug down and it seats firmly. However, as the jug is emptied, and the weight of the water inside gets less, the jug begins to rise and floats somewhat above the cooler causing it to kind of sway. Its a bit unsightly, but the lids still work. You don't spill a drop of water anywhere which is why I am still giving them four stars. Before I bought these, I probably poured a pint of water onto the floor every time I changed the jug.

I was so tired of messing up my walls with the splashing water and so tired of having to ask some stronger person to lift my bottle faster than I could that I considered buying the bottom load water dispenser. (Even though I hate the sound of the bottom loader and the fact that the bottles never totally empty out.) So I ordered this Easy Load Screw On and it works like a charm! It allows me to take my time and put the bottle on the dispenser. I no longer have to "lift and flip" as fast as I can like my life depends on it. Yay! Even though it's reusable, I'm buying another one in case anything ever happens to this baby...

Bought the "Easy Load Screw-On Extended Cage" water bottle cap for use with my GE Water Cooler. It works perfect. Loading the bottles on to the cooler is spill free. Once on, the floating ball inside the extended cage allows the cooler's water probe to work properly. The shipment from Pure Water Health was quick and the product arrived in just a few days.
