🎉 Blast into Adventure with Every Shot!
The NerfHoldout Doomlands Toy Blaster is a hand-powered, single-shot blaster designed for kids, teens, and adults. It features a detachable scope with storage for two darts, includes two official Nerf Doomlands Elite darts, and showcases a transparent area to view the internal firing mechanism.

Averages 73 FPS; a single shot sidearm named “Holdout.”
I don’t know why Nerf did not market this blaster with it’s name. It is simply referred to on Amazon with the same name as the Doomlands line, the Nerf “Doomlands Blaster.” Perhaps it was a pilot model for the line and they just decided to add it into the mix instead of market it as the trusty “Holdout” side arm. But it actually does feel good in my hand and shoots pretty decent. The prime’s draw weight is what I expected from a Jolt-styled “T” priming handle that the Nerf Snapfire has. Unlike the Snapfire, you can see a larger plunger tube through the transparent shell of the Holdout. Seeing the internal mechanisms do their thing during operation is somewhat of a Doomlands line family trait. The pistol grip has decent ergonomics and is not too small as one would have expected from the smallest pistol in the Doomlands line. My ProChrono Digital chronograph measured the speed of the darts fired by this stock Doomlands Blaster at an average of 73 feet per second (FPS) using Nerf Elite darts (it is capable of shooting any standard Nerf Elite darts; blue, green, white, orange, purple/grey, Starwars themed, Accustrike, and decorated Rebelle darts). The standard average velocity of a Nerf Elite blaster is 70 FPS, so this little single-shot front-loading pistol provides Elite level performance. On top of that it comes with a scope that can hold two darts horizontally, which is a first in the Nerf line as far as ammo-holding/ scope duality if I am not mistaken. There is no lens in the scope, but Nerf has been making optics without any lens as of late because nerf scopes do not typically enhance accuracy in any shape manner or form, and dart blasters are not known for their accuracy anyway. Naturally, the blaster has a tactical rail that allows for the scope to be attached. When attached, it runs the entire length of the blaster. There are no sling mounts on this blaster, which could be a con if it were not so easy to fit into your pocket. In conclusion, the Doomlands Holdout Blaster is a surprisingly cool single shot front-loader sidearm that packs a punch belying it’s compact size and purpose. While other blasters have other notable advantages in ammo capacity, darts per second (DPS), and features, I still like this blaster and it’s scope. Like the Nerf Elite Firestrike and N-strike Nitefinder blasters of yester year, the Holdout performs at the Elite level standard and with it’s attachment it can hold spare darts too. These are uncommon traits for an affordable Nerf blaster, and that makes the deal even cooler, that is, until it sells out (and becomes a collector’s item).

Great Gift for Kids
Got this as a gift for my son. He usually has issues loading and staging the bullets to be fired, but this one was much easier for him to do on his own.

scope doesn't work, but that's OK!
scope, like on most Nerf guns, doesn't work, but when you take the scope off, it's an amazing blaster!shoots pretty hard, so don't shoot it to close to anyone (if you don't want it to sting!) shoots probably about 60-75 feet. great gun overall

Great fun!
My sons love all Nerf guns and this one is no exception. I feel like sometimes our house is over-flowing with Nerf guns, it seems that is all they ask for during Christmas or birthdays. Still fairly safe to play with indoors but really fun when you get to play outdoors. (Too cold right now) We like to set up shooting galleries for the boys with cardboard boxes and Solo cups.
