DermaControl Oil Absorbing Moisturizer, SPF 30, Oily Skin, 4oz

I’ve been using this Cetaphil moisturizer as part of my morning routine, mainly because I have oily skin and needed something with SPF that doesn’t feel heavy. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky feeling. What I like most is that it helps control shine throughout the day. My skin still looks natural, but not overly greasy like it can with some other sunscreens or moisturizers. It also layers well under makeup, which makes it easy to use daily. It doesn’t have a strong smell, which I appreciate since my skin is sensitive. The hydration is decent, though if your skin is very dry, you might need something stronger at night. Overall, it’s a simple, reliable option for everyday use, especially if you want oil control and SPF in one step.

I have oily skin. Nothing helps control the oil and shine if I’m not wearing makeup, but this! It moisturizes skin, my skin without the shine the other products leaves. Super lightweight, and I can use it with other products. This has become my go to product, even if I don’t use anything else no skin irritation, and I apply it every morning. Definitely worth buying again. It is now part of my products and application, because it consistently controls oil and shine.

My go too facial moisturizer, I use it as a primer my makeup looks so good, and seamless every time I use this product! I will say to avoid putting a lot around your eyes as it will sting:))

This oil-free moisturizer does a fantastic job of absorbing excess sebum and keeping my face looking completely matte instead of like a shiny glazed donut. Dropping it down to 4 stars because if you happen to sweat or get a single molecule of this broad-spectrum SPF near your eyes, it transforms into pure tear gas. Keep it far away from your eyelids unless you want to spend the afternoon crying at your desk.

Ive tried tons of SPF moisturizer and they are either too greasy or leave a white cast on. Not this one. Works very well, did not leve white cast and does not feel greasy. However, it has a stronger smell while applying, but leaves quickly after it dries up, and stings around the eye, but its really affordable so you can reapply during the day, and leave a mate finish.

Usually, the moment I see "SPF" on a bottle, I brace myself for a greasy, heavy residue that inevitably leads to a breakout or an oil slick by noon. This product, however, is a total exception. From the very first pump, I noticed the texture is surprisingly lightweight and silky, not thick or chalky like many other sunscreens I have tried. It glides onto my face effortlessly and absorbs almost instantly, leaving behind a finish that feels breathable rather than suffocating. What truly sets this DermaControl formula apart is the matte finish it delivers right out of the gate. I have struggled for years with that mid-day T-zone shine that ruins my makeup, but this moisturizer acts like a primer and hydration step all in one. The oil-absorbing technology is not just a marketing gimmick; I can genuinely feel it working. It manages to hydrate the dry patches on my cheeks while simultaneously keeping the oil on my forehead and nose in check. It gives my skin a velvety, soft appearance that lasts well into the afternoon, significantly reducing the number of times I have to reach for blotting papers or powder. Another massive win is how gentle it is. My skin is reactive and prone to redness, so I am always hesitant to try new active ingredients, but true to the Cetaphil reputation, this lotion is incredibly soothing. I haven't experienced a single sting, itch, or clogged pore since incorporating it into my daily routine. The fact that it packs broad spectrum SPF 30 protection without that dreaded "sunscreen smell" or the stinging sensation around the eyes is impressive. It integrates perfectly under my foundation, preventing it from sliding around, which makes it an absolute staple in my morning regimen. It is rare to find a product that tackles sun protection, hydration, and oil control so effectively without compromising on any front.

I'm always hoping that when I buy something that says it will control or absorb oil, that it actually will. Unfortunately, this does not. However, it does have sunscreen, and it is good for skin that is acne prone. It definitely does not cause breakouts, but the reason for purchasing it -- oil control -- just wasn't happening for me. It might work for someone else, though. I will give them three stars for including sunscreen and having a light texture, but I'm not sure how they think this will control oil.

Pump works well. I use this every morning for my daily moisturizer and sun protection. It’s non-greasy and does not seem to irritate my fickle skin. The price is good for the size you get. Hypoallergenic and fragrance free! Great staple to your daily skincare routine!

Excited to try and know what will the result on my skin

Works well and did not cause me to brake out in spots, which is always a risk for me. So if you have spot prone skin , this would probably be a good product to try. SPF was good and provided excellent protection, as long as you reapplied every so often. Shame it is so expensive. I would however recommend but as others have said, if it gets in your eyes, it stings like crazy! So if you’re face gets wet and it runs in your eyes (as happed to me,) you’ll definitely know about it.
