Excellent product
PureWick is the best product for female urinary incontinence issues. This is soft and easily to attach and detach. We will continue to buy these for my mom.

Good replacement value
Paid far less for these than for the original Purewick catheters. For those living lives of quiet financial desperation, this important.

Does not work
First time ordering from this seller, have used this type of product from other sellers and had no issues. 3 evenings of soaked diapers for my mom as her urine is not being siphoned into thenpurwick container. First two times I figured I messed up , but now I know it has to be this product and going to have to now order from someone else

Increase the effectiveness of the system from 50% to 90% with a simple addition.
There's a trick to getting these to stay in place. After much frustration with leakage, we've found a solution. It's not "elegant" and probably not dignified but we have much more success than failure. My wife has an unusually large bladder, up to nearly 2 liters. On average, she urinates ~500ml, with a strong flow. (You can see we already have challenges!) The "solution" is to take an empty drink bottle, 16oz. to 20oz., fill it with hot water from your sink, put the cap back on tight, insert the catheter as normal, then lean the bottle against the catheter, gently nudging the catheter to stay in place, her upper thighs hold the bottle in place. When we just used the catheter by itself, it often would get displaced so it wouldn't work at all. At best, it only worked 50% of the time. VERY frustrating when we had to pay for the whole system out of pocket. But with the hot water bottle, the success rate is closer to 90%. Honest. (In hindsight, I would rather have just bought the BD cannister replacement kit, the catheters and a medical grade vacuum pump - would have been cheaper and more effective. She goes through a box of these in about 2-3 weeks so it matters than we have an effective, efficient setup. Lastly, sine Medicare d-r-a-g-s its feet with getting things covered, we use "So Phresh" puppy training pads from Petco rather than traditional urinary pads. You can get two 50 count packs of the X-Large size for less than the cost of a 100 count package. They're big, absorbent and less than 50 cents/pad.

Purewick wicks
They don't hold shape. Had to tape in place, but still only got about 80% of the urine. Very expensive for something that does not work well.
