Worse solder station ever!
What the heck happened to Metcal? They used to be the best. Somewhere along the way they decided to get "smart" and regulate how much heat gets to the tip....Bad move Metcal. Cause you can't even melt solder now. Not even a brand new Metcal works well. Even their 800deg high thermal load tip will not melt solder. Oh, and every so often it decides to shut off. So you have to constantly power cycle the unit to get both tips working again. Don't make the same mistake I made and purchase a new Metcal.....unless you need a real expensive paperweight.

Heat does not stay on
I have one hand piece. The power supply keep on jumping between two ports and won't stay on. A complete idiot design.
