Great product but just a tad too sweet for me
I normally dehydrate my own apples for my oatmeal but no time to restock so I decided to try these. Upon opening the can l was pleased to see the pieces are broken up. Even if they came in whole slices or circles, they are very crunchy and can be broken up by hand. The flavor seemed fresh and the texture upon rehydration was rubbery, (as expected since my own dehydrated apples are that way as well), but easy to chew. The container doesnโt mention what variety of apple is used, but they are very sweet to meโฆl generally go for a tart apple like Granny Smith. Knowing this, I just wonโt add as many to the oatmeal. I've purchased several Augason Farms products in the past and I trust the brand.

Understanding 1/2 a can equals 12oz!
These are my absolute favorite apples. Super crispy. The can is only 1/2 full, but I understand that they are packaged by weight, so Iโm purchasing 12oz of product not a โcan fullโ.

An Apple A Day
You can't go wrong with this brand. I love that I know that no matter what I buy from them that it will be a quality product and packaged for longevity. Having a well prepared pantry is important to me and this is my go-to brand at a reasonable price. I love that I can buy this in bulk and leave it knowing that it is packaged to last. Open the can and snack away or add these to your favorite recipes. These are super yummy. You get a lot of product for the price. Don't let the weight of the can fool you. I like that this is not a chemical nightmare. I try to have item on hand for in the event of an emergency. I look for items that are packaged well, travel well, don't require a lot of additional ingredients, are flexible for how they are used, and will act as comfort food. This fits the bill. My rabbits LOVE that I buy these. They make an excellent treat for them (in moderation), too.

More hit than miss
Most of the cans we've gotten have been great. The last one was not fully dehydrated making for a very weird texture and a slightly off flavor. There doesn't seem to be a consistent variety of apple used but none have been super tart. And apple "slices" is a bit of a stretch. Most are just pieces. Kind of disappointing at first but at least now it's expected. Lastly make sure you have a good can opener. My electric and mediocre manual one left me prying it open with a knife. All good with my new manual opener. (I'd never had to open a 10 can before buying these).
