Worked for 9 months then quit, 2 replacements also don't work, now no response
This was a decent setup for 9 months but then suddenly it rebooted (NOT at a scheduled weekly reboot time) and then was never able to get beyond the startup screen. I contacted them for warranty claim and they offered to send a new NVR. They sent fedex which with them being in CA and me being east coast, took 5 or 6 days to arrive. The new NVR was unable to connect to any cameras. They offer to send another one, I beg them to send faster as I cannot wait another week without security and they said they cannot send it any other way. That really irritated me with 2 not working and I made it clear how important this was to have running. So after ANOTHER week without security, guess what that one does not work either. I paid a fortune for what I thought was a good investment for the money spent and now I am still unsecure for over 3 weeks now in a time of civil unrest which is AGONIZING. Now they aren't responding to my messages. PS you can't call them for tech help, you have to email them. The system was decent but still had other flaws that bothered me, but I "let it go" until now because I convinced myself all this money I spent was a good investment and I picked the right product.EDITED TO ADD: I have since also figured out that if one camera gets a damaged wire or cut wire or a camera is simply unplugged at the camera side but still plugged in at the NVR side, the entire system craps out and stops showing/recording ALL cameras. It either blips in and out of functionality every few minutes or completely blacks out entirely continuously. This is beyond ridiculous and is completely unacceptable. There are no instructions included other than something so brief it only covers things you would know just by opening the box. You have to download a PDF to get actual instructions, which isn't uncommon anymore, but annoying. But then, the PDF does not explain a majority of the processes, functions or abbreviations/terminology they use (there is a lot of this in the menu settings/options) so I can hardly navigate it. There are tons of data "fields" and buttons and settings with jargon that literally nobody would know what it means or does unless you designed the software yourself. The cameras are very nice clarity at 4K resolution, however are only recording motion at 15/FPS so the picture is "clipping" on anything moving faster than a human walks and is not smooth. I understand this is for space saving on the hard drive, but this makes recording any vehicle activity for license plates or other quick "instances" mostly useless. You'll rarely get the shot you need. You can add up to 4 hard drives up to like 32TB which is an incredible amount of space, so it should be an option if you want to save space or actually record to full potential. That being said the cameras would all have to be upgraded to 30/FPS capable units. The software has "intelligent" settings and the playback progress bar shows colors for periods of motion which is handy, however say if a car drives by, the motion "color" on the bar doesn't begin until after the car/motion is gone. So you watch every section where motion happens but never see the car, you have to watch before the notification to see it. took me a while to piece that together. That being said, there is no explanation of how all the other smart motion settings actually work in the instructions either. There is no way to adjust the brightness/contrast in a time setting like other manufacturers. So if you want to lighten your "night vision" picture to see better at night, the daytime picture is also lighter accordingly. This system has great potential but the amount of "WTF" is far too astounding to overlookI am now searching for a new company and system as this company is not responsive anymore and I need a security system ASAP. I will be filing a claim if the seller continues to be unresponsive.

Nice package deal
Took a week or so to finally get all 14 active cameras setup and installed. The NVR much have a DHCP server component or the camera's are smart enough to check for DHCP on the net they reside on.Having issues with the HDMI and VGA outputs, fortunately GW is sending a new NVR, even though we had to put a $400 deposit to get them to mail the new NVR first. Hopefully this will resolve our dual monitor output issue.

Easy to install and very easy to set up mobil application
The cameras are extremely good and has a clear display on my flat screen. Mobil app doesn't have that affect, quality of cameras are poor so they need to work on their mobil app to make it better. Installation was very easy and also set up was very easy. I like it a lot.

Unreliable security system and horrible support
I've had nothing but problems since I purchased my GW Security NVR and IP cameras. Even their developers in China haven't been able to resolve the issues. The system randomly stops recording surveillance video. The unit erroneously reports video loss several times a day when the cameras as fully operational--verified by accessing the cameras directly. Extracted video from the NVR cannot be played using standard PC or Mac software. I encountered this problem when I submitted my security camera video to an insurance company. I have spent dozens of hours with their tech support and was they never resolved these problems.

this is the most worthless alarm system ever. bought the system about 2 years ago and have had trouble with it . Every day it goes out then beeps for awhile before it starts to come back on . the company was contacted several times about the problem and did nothing about it .finally they just quit answering then went off line now that they are back I am writing this review. Bon produit
Le produit est facile d'installation et d'utilisation.Le seul bémol, c'est les câbles fournis, sont en Cat5e au lieu de Cat6, entre les caméras et l'enregistreur, peut-être que ça n'a aucun impact.
