It looks just like the material of my mother in law's wok, which is from a Korean brand popular in Taiwan, and performs equally. It isn't those fake marble where it looks like paint flecks--it is legit.This wok is really great. It heats up fast, distributes heat really well, and it's so slick. Really easy to both clean and cook in.When we moved into our first house, before our things arrived, this was the only cookware I had. I made full, multidish meals with this, and I almost didn't want my other pots and pans to show up. It changed the way I cook, because I love this wok so much I favor it a lot. Soup? Better get the wok. Eggs? Wok. Boil water for noodles? Wok. I pretty much only use my pots if this wok is already being used for something else.The only drawback is that the little handle outcropping on the far side gets too hot to touch and isn't insulated. For a wok this size, you are going to need to be able to hold it from both sides if you want to, say, drain vegetables or noodles over the sink. I'm not docking any points for that, though--I knew what I was buying and just keep a dish towel ever at hand.

I have spent a fortune on nonstick pans in the past, Red Copper, Orgreenic x 3, a $140 Calphalon nonstick wok, nothing works as good and last as long as these pans. I water fry, no oil, no butter, on these and they survive. The others my last a few months, and then the nonstick fails(the Calphalon, that lasted a couple of years). Not these pans unless you break off the material, they don’t stick. I have three now. A coworker asked me about it and I bought him one. His wife loves it and she had him buy three other sizes. She is a Southern cook known for her fried chicken and she works those pans like I could only image. She is thrilled, as am I. You can fry cheese on this nonstick without oil or butter. It rocks! I am a fan!

This pan is wonderful! We sent the first one back because it appeared to have a manufacturing defect - the coating at the bottom looked very uneven and even felt rough. The replacement arrived and it was the same so we tried the pan. Nothing sticks to it at all. We love it! So do NOT let the appearance put you off. Apparently it's some sort of manufacturing process but does not affect the quality. We've had it over three weeks and it's a pleasure to cook with. We use it almost daily.

This wok did exactly what I had hoped for. I use a gas stove and this wok gets hot fairly fast and distributes the heat well all the way across the wok. Worked great for stir fries. Super easy to clean. Will be trying it with more anddifferent recipes.

The very best wok ever. Very very happy to have this Joycook product from Korea. In last 40+ yrs, we spent several hundreds dollars on famous brand names (all were lifetime warrantied) mostly from Macy's. None of them came close nor was even half this good. This is our 2nd one and this time for our daughter. By the way, this BIG one is very light !! (and surprised our daughter).

No lid comes with it. And with its large size, very hard to find a matching lid.

I was sure I found my favorite wok when it arrived 3 months ago. It looked beautiful, lightweight, Porcelain non-stick coated, easy to clean .... Unfortunately the coating peeled off in the center after normal use for just 3 month, and I always used wooden utensils. Disappointed.
