I'm giving this review 5 stars based on the affordable price for what you get. If you want a perfect sword similar to this jian, you will need to spend much more.The pros:Nice grain in the folded steel.Fittings look great.Wood on handle and scabbard are nice.Cons:Blade came warped slightly to one side and edge is also slightly uneven.Scabbard only locks in place one way. If you turn the blade 90 degrees it won't fit.Tang is thinner than the space in the handle which makes a rattle.Handle came with a small crack.That being said, I was able to fix the handle issue with jb weld and epoxy, making the tang as big as the handle opening, and the epoxy keeps it in place.There is also a nut at the end of the tang that locks everything in place, and the handle is double pegged to the tang. There is no way this blade is going to fly out of the handle.If you plan on using this for cutting, you should inspect this sword first by disassembling it, at your own risk.

Beautiful blade but the brass pieces came off and the sword is stuck in the scabbard. With a few minor improvements could be a great sword.

very nice. Fittings are brass not copper. Needs metal pins in the tang. but over all a good buy

Amazing quality blade, amazing quality scabbard!!. Wooden pin tang and bronze fittings.I have this a 4star due to the packaging was a custom mold styrofoam which was nice but...it had a huge gash that almost reached the scabbard it didn’t but It could have and cracked it. Insanely sharp, I do wish the fitting was a little tighter but other than a few minor things for the price it is perfect.
