I make vegetable oil soap at home but have never made 100% olive oil soap as it is considered tricky to get to set properly. I cannot believe the price on this soap - one 8 oz, give or take, L'Occitane bar is $10 ($12 Canadian as I am currently residing here temporarily). Mondo terrific value. Speaking from experience as a soap maker, these bars are hard, which means they last a long time. They don't have added fragrance, which is a plus for me, as I don't generally add fragrance to my own soaps. It does have an odor, not unpleasant, and I'm clean smelling, soap smelling, after use. My son and father have contact dermatitis issues with some soaps so this is an ideal soap for sensitive skin, including I'd say infants, although my son is now an adult and I don't have a baby handy to give it a test. My husband complained that the bars get slimy in the soap dish if left in water (duh) and that they left his skin feeling slimy too. Translating into regular person speak, my skin feels moisturized and yes, a touch oily (olive oil - duh again) after use but in this ultra dry, overheated Canadian winter, moisturized is a big plus. And don't let the soap sit in water, tilt it in the dish or get a dish that drains. I use a washcloth lathered with soap, not the bare bar, so the size isn't particularly an issue for me. I think cutting it in half or thirds is a great idea for those who find the size too much to handle. You might find some green transfer to a washcloth, but I prefer a thinner, cheaper washcloth over a huge plush and expensive one any day and the green will generally wash out in the laundry. I've given my daughter a bar and will order some for her directly to her US address if she likes it. I think if we're not given the news that we're going home this summer, I'll order some sent to my parents' house for me to bring back. The delivery from Greece was slow but it arrived. I had some more expensive soap to burn through in the meantime. And my husband will use whatever I find at the big box of Wal.

I don’t use anything other soap and haven’t for a long time. I only buy this. I could type a novel about how I found this brand but I’ll just say that my skin has always been super sensitive and I suffered skin allergies for over 30 years, and finally I found a magical herbalist who sold me this soap. It’s a lifetime staple for me now. I used to be grossed out by bar soap and always had one hundred different products, but that all went out the window. Do yourself a favor and start using this forever. It’s even safe for your face. I love the way it makes my skin feel and I do use it on my face sometimes. SAFE for everyone without all the chemical crap. BUY IT! You won’t be mad, I promise.

I love this soap. Lots of soap on the market now add a lot of different ingredients that my body can't use. Nut oils, grains, and all kinds of other food allergens have found there way into soap and has made it impossible for me to use soap I find in stores. I found this olive oil based soap after doing lots of digging on Amazon and am I ever glad I did. It's the only soap I use now. My skin isn't dry or itchy after using it and I feel really clean after bathing with it. I'd read some reviews that said the soap had a bad smell and I was really worried about it when I first purchased this soap but I haven't had that experience. There is a faint earthiness to it due to the olive oil but it isn't unpleasant at all. The bars are massive so they last a while too. I've purchased this soap multiple times since and will continue buying it as long as I can find it. Highly recommend especially if you're looking to find a soap with only the necessary super simple ingredients. Updating to add that I recently shared a bar with a friend without any of my sensitivities and she loves it! She's ordering her own now and adding it to her hygiene and beauty regimen. It's truly great soap for all.

I've been using this soap for about a week and I'm really pleased. It is natural and unscented; it has a mild olive oil scent when using it that disappears soon after rinsing. It leaves my skin feeling good and not dried out. I've even beem using it as a shampoo without conditioner with good results; my hair is clean and combs out well, neither dry nor oily. This is the same soap sold in smaller and more expensive bars under the same name. I received four individually packaged bars, a total of about 1 kg, more than 2 pounds, in great condition. The bars are too big to use individually, but they cut easily lengthwise and crosswise with a chef's knife without crumbling.

This quality soap is legendary... only soap mom used to bath us when infants and continued using ourselves growing up. Then, coming to the US I tried so many soaps in the last 40 years, some very expensive, but nothing beats this - I have been using it in the last 10 yrs since I can get it thru the internet. Your skin always feels clean & soft, and never have to worry about allergies or skin dryness. The only negative aspect of this product is its astronomical price increase in the last few yrs. Yes, almost every company in the world have increased their prices but this company has doubled the price. I may start making my own soap from Greek olive oil!

It was the best olive oil soap I ever used and now I see they changed their formula. If I wanted to use a coconut oil based soap, then I would not be using an olive oil based soap, so I will be searching for another brand of olive oil soap. So sad because I would’ve been a lifetime customer had you not changed that wonderful formula!!

I have severely acne prone skin with a lot of redness and eczema. This soap is fantastic. I use it on my face, body, etc. and no breakouts, no residue, and my skin feels far more supple and soft. Irritation has decreased. Skin isn't so stripped after a shower. For the price, it's amazing! The fragrance does smell like sniffing a bottle of olive oil... but it doesn't linger on your skin.

I already bought this soup for the second time it is amazing. i can really tell the product is high quality not like Chinese quality. Anyway i have nothing negative about the soap but it could be a little be better as i say it should have 80% to 85% percent cold press unfiltered olive oil. you may ask why do i say exactly to be 80% to 85% olive oil content. i say this because i bought another olive oil soup brand but the issue with that soup is i can tell right away that they use TOO MUCH SODIUM HYDROSITE OR LYE. AND that lye is so irritant for my skin specially my skin but with your soup it is not irritate. plus the other brand you can tell right away that they use so much lye by the color the bars look like they look almost white . i do agree still has olive oil but the lye content in my opinion i think is too high if i was going to give a percentage probably like 50% olive oil and the rest lye and probable other ingredients they also claim to use only like 3 ingredients plus they claim to use organic olive oil i believe the use organic olive oil but come on the lye content must be so high like i say 50% olive oil and the other probably 50% lye but again even if the soup is made with organic olive oil that does not stop the high content of lye to cause irritation on my face and my whole body skin. please make your soap bards 80% to 85% could press unfiltered olive oil. you have already a good quality product please make it even better i know you can do it. i bought the other brand once i did not like it for the reasons i just mention i never went back and buy again, and i bough your product before and it was good and they i bought it again because as i just mention it was good for my face and skin. please made it 80% to 85% could press unfiltered olive oil and i will keep buying your soap bards as long as my skin likes them. Have a good one just remember you have a solid product, but just remember you can make it a little be better. Alright take care bye.

المنتج ذو جوده عاليه و لا يحتوي اي روائح مضافه يوجد الكثير من التعليقات السلبيه حول رائحه المنتج على انها كرية. و الحقيقه ان رائحه المنتج تشبه نوعا ما رائحه دخان الحطب. و في الغالب ان هذه الرائحه يكتسبها المنتج خلال مرحله الطبخ فاذا كانت رائحه الدخان/الحطب لا تناسبك فهذا المنتج قد لا يناسبك

Excelente Qualität. Die beste Seife die ich je hatte. Sie reinigt ohne die Haut auszutrocknen, hat keinen künstlichen Duft oder andere Chemie. Ich bleibe bei der Seife.
