For the money, good luck in finding anything better. In fact, I’ve got a normal sized telescope that is fairly new, and these binoculars are a joy to look through! The image is sharp and clean; the unit itself is as solid as you’d want it to be. You won’t have any complaints for the price! The case is absolutely perfect; not cheap at all and comes with a nice carry strap. I also received the attachment for my cell phone that allows me to take pictures through the binoculars. The attachment is also sturdy and well-built. It is adjustable to the size of your phone and you’re ready to take some pretty good pictures of objects that are miles away….and then you still get to expand the image on your phone to view objects that I cannot see with my own eyes. I did buy this binoculars Adorrgon 12x42 as an improvement of my Nikon ACULON 10x25, and yes! what an improvement!!! My 11 year old uses it all the time we go to the park to spot birds, and now this is our new family hobby :). At the beginning I was scare it will feel dizzy or will be too heavy for a kid, but not at all, it is very easy to use, not dizzy nor heavy, and the image is sharp to see even little bird details. I really like the front and back protectors, they stay in the binoculars while in use and I can get them on and off easily (as comparing with my Nikon, already lost them because there was no way to attach them while in use). The strap that goes on your neck is very soft and comfortable, something else to love about it! (my Nikon strap next in the pic is not as soft). It also comes with a nice bag and cleaning cloth (very useful for kids prints!) I have to say, during this self-distance times, it has been a life saver for our family, we pass many hours together, walking and observing nature in the park. There is nothing that compares the happiness of a kid founding a nice bird all by themselves. I truthfully strongly recommended it. I will just add that to be extra secure, cause my kid uses all the time, I folded and sew the tip end of the strap (as in the picture) and voila! I let my kid run with it to his heart desires! :0) I can't wait to get the phone adapter! I will post pics as soon as I get it!

I bought 2 sets. These are lightweight; come with silicone lens covers, waterproof case with a cell phone tripod and an actual manual. Used these for bird ID someone talked me into doing. It was fun. The binocs were easy to adjust. Very happy. Until I got home. We had the binocs around our necks and and realized we left the cases there. No one would return my calls after leaving messages. The cases seemed to be more valuable than I thought. I’d buy them again but never going to go birdwatching with these thieves again. That’s it.

These binoculars are lightweight and have really good magnification and clarity for birdwatching. I LOVE the phone attachment for taking pictures through them, I started using that right away and it works great! I haven't tried them for stargazing yet, but I think I'll enjoy looking at the moon through them as well. I definitely recommend.

I took these on an Alaskan Cruise and they worked great! I was even able to take some pictures with my phone through them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wants some binoculars for a cruise or for general nature kikes etc.

I have acquired 5 binoculars, of various but reasonably similar powers, and decided to do a sit down test of all of them at one time. I figured this was better than just writing individual reviews of each as a binocular can seem quite good in the absence of anything to compare it to. I was primarily interested in if they are able to keep the whole field in focus, ie when it is focused on the center of the field are the outside edges in focus. I was also interested in chromatic aberration. These are the binoculars I tested in order of quality: NIKON Monarch M5 8x42 12x42 Powerful Binoculars with Clear Weak Light Vision Adorrgon IBQ Binoculars For Adults HD,12x50 High Power Binoculars Sold by: IBQ Tech 15x52 HD Binoculars for Adults High Powered with Upgraded Phone Adapter - GIGAPENGUIN IBQ Binoculars For Adults HD,12x30 Binoculars with Upgraded Phone AdapterSold by: IBQ Center My test was to attempt to focus on some willow trees with fine branches and fine leaves set against a white background of clouds. This I figured was excellent for figuring out if they had a clear field of view from edge to edge. I was also good to see if they had a chromatic aberration issue. I would inspect the interfaces of the branches and the clouds and look for color at the edges this would get obvious if you went a little bit out of focus you see a rainbow reddish color at the edges which indicates chromatic aberration which is not good. By far the best were the Nikon Monarch M5 Binoculars 8×42 6.4° field of view. The one I tested it runs about $250 but can often be obtained for around $200 in the “used like new” category. All the others were much less expensive but frankly so much worse that they are not worth buying with one possible exception namely the 12X42 from Adorrgon. I would say 80% of the field of view was focused with the Monarch which also gets good ratings on birding websites and was the favorite of the group for a South African safari we recently went on. The 12 x 42 Adorrgon was OK, I would say it was focusing about 60% of the field of view was in focus was in focus when you focus on the edge, the third was the 12×50 from IBQ. It was getting to the level of unacceptable with only about 40% of the field in focus. The fourth on my list was the most recent purchase Gigapenguin 15 x 52 with about 30% of the field of view in focus but even then the focus was uneven and showed muddy colors. For all except the Nikon monarch, the cases had a cheap feel. Overall, all but Nikon showed a lot of spheric aberration in other words if you were a little bit out of focus, you saw these rainbows on the edges of the leaves and branches and they were muddy overall. One important point is that the monarch was only 8 power, with the others having higher powers up to 15 power. Generally, I think people pick binoculars thinking that the higher power the better. This is usually not correct, the higher the power generally the more the issues you have with them optically they are also the heavier, longer and they are and have a shallower field of focus and are harder to get a good focus all the way across. Number five on my list was the 12 x 30 IBQ. I couldn't get the entire field in focus at all about 30% was in focus. For this and the Gigapenguin you couldn't even focus on the edge of the field. If you would take your eye and look at the edge of the field and try to bring it into focus and that wasn't possible so it means that there's bad optics to the binocular overall. I would say that the only binocular of these six worth purchasing with the Nikon monarch M5. They do a complete set of these various powers and fields of view, mine 8 x 42 is really nice solid binocular. It cost about three to five times what the others cost. This second one was the 12x42 Adorrgon which was acceptable and a whole lot cheaper than the Nikon at $40-$48 and none of the rest really are worth purchasing at all IMO.

I dont know a great deal about binoculars, but decided to buy my mother a “good” set since she moved to Florida and started to casually take up bird watching. Wanting to go with a reputable brand and after a few hours of research and reading, i went with Vortex Diamondbacks and had them delivered to her home. Since i was taking a trip to visit, i found these for $25 and figured I’d buy them just to see what the extra money actually got her since the style, size, and descriptions are almost identical. There is a clear difference when you compare the imagines switching back and forth. THAT SAID - the difference the extra $225 made is not nearly as large as you’d expect. Its the Ultra fine details, the edges, and sharpness/clarity of the objects at distance that are noticeable. I honestly expected to be blown away how much better the Vortex was - but i wasnt. You’d really have to be an optics guy to appreciate the small difference in image quality. I mean the difference is there, but its a very small difference. I’m CERTAIN the Vortex is a “better” binocular, not to mention the support you get from a good brand that will stand behind a product they warranty without question. They simply feel better too as soon as you pick them up - but these two brands are extremely similar in feel, style and features. Meaning, for 90% - 95% of people these would be just as good as the Vortex unless you’re REALLY willing to spend a lot more money for not much difference. So if you are an average person thats looking to buy a set “just to have them”, to bring to a football game, to enjoy yourself outdoors, try your hand at birdwatching, ect - I wouldn’t hesitate buying these. If there is any chance of them getting lost, stolen, broken, or generally beat up - dont spend the extra money. If you decide later that you wanna buy something better, than consider these as your insurance in a backup pair, or a second set to lend to a friend. You really, really cant complain about what you get for the money. The case is garbage compared to a vortex, its just a basic pouch - but it serves its purpose. These even come with lens covers - just like the Vortex - (they dont fit as well) but buying those alone separately would probably cost $10. As far as bang for your buck - from an average guys opinion, i cant see a better option than this. If i were to try to set a scale comparing them against the Vortex Diamondbacks, if the Diamondbacks were a 10 - these would be a 8.5 in an overall comparison (not just clarity). I can only imagine the difference between these and say the Vortex Crossfire’s (one step below the Diamondbacks) would be even smaller. When it comes to things like this, just like rifle scopes, small differences come at a big expense, and I imagine a large chuck of the cost for a pair of binoculars from a place like Vortex is to cover the costs of a large company and their marketing - which these dont have to pay for. At the price, (esp at the $25 i paid) you have absolutely nothing to lose. If you already have a good set, and just want a second pair - buy these. You’ll be amazed at how good these are for the money. Lastly - for those who dont know what the number mean - (10x40) (12x50) - the first number is the power of the magnification (10 times closer, 12 times closer) and the second is the size larger lens (how big of an area it will allow you to see when you look through). For bird watching, experts claim the ideal sizes are either 10x42 or 12x42.. you dont want something extremely powerful, but you want something with a larger lens so its easier to find what your looking for, and keep looking at it while it’s moving (like a bird, obviously, or even a football game, Anything that can be moving at speed). A size 50 lens is physically a bigger (And would give you a larger picture) but are a larger heavier set of binoculars - so the 42 lens is a great compromise. For a easy way to think of it - to give people a rough idea, say a 12x20 you would be able to see a large bird at distance, but he may take up the entire “screen” (for lack of a better word) as you looked through those binoculars - where with a 12x45 set you would see the same bird just as large - but you’d also be able to see a large area around him. So Its easier to find him, and if he moves you can easily follow him and also see whats around him. There is not a huge difference between a 10x or 12x set of binoculars, so dont go crazy like i did. (I ordered and canceled 3 times before i finally picked what size on the Vortex). But if you were on the fence trying to decide if these were worth your money - Yes, they are. You’ll be surprised and impressed what the money got you.
