Super comfortable + perfect for 3-4 hour ride
Pros:> Nice, wide stretchy leg cuffs that are snug and don't dig into your skin the way grippy elastic bands do> While the butt padding is not as thick as some of their other shorts, the amount and placement of padding right at the narrow part of the seat is excellent -- for me, this is far more critical than front or rear> Straps are also good quality and don't have a thick hem that dig into your shouldersCons:> Not sure yet about longevity -- I've done about 60 hours in these bibs this summer and am starting to see a minor bit of fraying at one of the seams> Did a couple longer rides recently (90-110 mi) -- started to reach the "limit", but frankly no different than any other shorts I've usedI'm really liking this company for the quality of their products at affordable prices. The quality is definitely one *small* notch below the premium brands, but to me these bibs are still extremely comfortable and great for everyday riding.

sizing guide was spot on, bibs "disappeared" underneath me for a while anyway
Impressions:The best thing you can say about a pair of lycra cycling shorts is that they disappear underneath you while you're riding. I absolutely felt that way when I left for my first ride in them. Perhaps 90 minutes into the ride in 85F, cloudy and humid conditions, I suddenly felt their presence. It wasn't necessarily bad or different from other bib shorts, but it was as though a switch flipped. I completed the 2.5 hour ride with no big issues, but one notable thing was that the chamois felt saturated with sweat even as the lycra outer layer felt dry. I'll need to see how this goes when riding in hotter, sunnier, dryer conditions.Fabric:The fabric seems kinda old school, smooth and shiny, single layer black and red lycra, but with some more up to date features like flatlock seams in many places, though there are plain overlock seams as well. That type of lycra may feel a little hotter than more mesh-type fabrics or the cold-black type fabric that is white on the inside, but I'm hoping it'll last longer (one of my Cannondale bibs that is cold-black has lost much of its elasticity prematurely and is even shedding a little bit even though I've been careful in laundering, fingers crossed that my Pearl Izumi cold-black bibs continue going strong).Chamois:The positioning of the chamois is perfect for me, with the wide part being right at the sit bones and no diaper-like appearance on the rear. It doesn't feel overly thick and from the photo is a simple two-piece pad that I hope won't delaminate and bunch up like some other overly complicated, multi-layer/density chamois have done on me (one pair of my Craft bibs, a pair of the original Performance brand Ultra bibs).Fit:The size guide was spot on for me at 5'9" and 167lbs, the US Medium/Asian XL fit just right. As you can see in the photos, the front of the waist is a bit lower on these bibs, which is good for nature breaks. The waist is also low on the sides, which is probably good for being cooler in summer, but feels less supportive than bibs that I'm used to from other brands, mainly Pearl Izumi, Craft and Cannondale. The wide leg bands stayed in place in total comfort with no itching and no persistent marking on the skin as you might see with rubbery/latex elastic or plasticky silicon bands.I would consider these bibs to be a six or maybe seven panel design (the seventh being the horizontal panel across the lower back), but with more compression (and thereby less fabric movement) in the thighs than you normally feel with cheaper six panel shorts. A generous panel count might even consider it an eight or nine panel design, but I discount the black panels above the red panels since they are effectively a single panel on each leg as far as the fit goes.UPDATE on new gray color:This new gray blocked color fits the same, has the same construction (including slightly off-center seam up front) and has the same chamois.I don't know if the company saw my (unanswered?) question about having other colors like gray or plain black available, but the gray is exactly what I had hoped for. Thanks! One interesting thing is that the sizing label on the new gray garment says it's Asia XL, EU L, US M where the old red ones I have say Asia XL, EU/US L. The garments fit exactly the same, so apparently cyclists in the U.S. have gotten fatter according to the folks at Santic between manufacturing runs of the red vs gray bibs?Anyway, sizing chart still seems good to me if you look at the wearer's height/weight chart, translate the US size to the garment's measurement chart to translate to the China/Asia sizing and you get that size. E.g. in my case, whether I'm US M or US L, I am consistently Asia/China XL :-).UPDATE 2021-04-29: after 2.5-3 years of use, the red color block bib shorts I have are still in good shape and haven't lost much elasticity, there have been no snags/runs/pilling or broken seams/stitching, chamois is still in good shape. However, the initially dark red color has faded to a dull, dark pink. I don't know if it is from laundering or UV exposure.UPDATE 2021-05-16: I had a "duh" moment the other day and looked at the inner face of the red panel. It's still dark red, so it looks like UV exposure has faded the outer face's red color to a dull, dark pink.

These are good bang for the buck however sized for very fit riders
I like the weight of these bib shorts. Light and the right thickness pad. Thick pads don't work for me at all. If you are looking for a heavy thick pad these are not the shorts you want. Read the sizing chart. First pair of shorts I bought were the Large size. I apparently did not read the size chart correctly and figured Large would work. I can get them on, but they are tight. The XL is the correct size. I'm not a particularly trim rider.I'm not sure about durability. I rotate between 4 pairs of shorts, and only ride 3 1 hour sessions per week on a trainer at 21mph. I will buy these again as long as they are being produced.

Best Bibs Ever
These are really comfortable and have become my new favorites. Padding is adequate for 2-3 hour rides, the legs stay put, the straps don’t pull on my shoulders, and the lower cut makes them cooler and more breathable. I ordered a small based on my height and weight in the chart, and the fit is perfect. Hope they last a while.

Wearing out pretty quick
I enjoy these; they're comfortable and fit me well. However, after my ride today, I noticed that the area right next to the chamois is extremely thin and see-through. Anyone familiar with wearing bibs can understand why that’s concerning. I’m grateful they didn’t tear, but it made me nervous to order another pair.

Excellent fit and wear
Use year round for commute, Zwifting, and weekend fondos. I’m 5’ 9”, 175 lbs and buy the large. Best fit of any bike shorts I’ve ever worn. Very reasonable price and long wearing. No complaints at all.

Good bibs for certain rides
Basically, not a long ride bib only because the chamois isn't that type. Great for low intensity/shorter rides (road recovery), cyclocross/mountain bike (out of the saddle), but not for on the rivet output. For the money, mine are very well constructed, fit well (size L, 5'9" 180 lbs, athletic build), and are comfortable in the heat of summer. My milk run training ride is 31 miles. Doing intervals on the return leg, the chamois is taxed and comfort begins to dip as I ride up the hill to get home. Still, good value, good looking, keep expectations realistic and you'll be happy with these bibs.

Back For More
This is my 3rd pair of Santic Cycling Shorts. The first pair was a normal short. Good fit, comfortable on an hour ride, I liked them so I bought the second pair, bib shorts and they ROCKED! Great fit, (L) I'm 73in and 190lbs and comfortable on 2+ hour rides. They wash well, gentle cycle and hang dry, they are comfortable and they have been durable. This is my 3rd pair and the product has been consistent in fit, comfort, and durability for short and longer 2-3 hour rides.
