Recommended 10/10
The GL.iNet GL-BE9300 (Flint 3) has been an outstanding upgrade for my home network. Setup was quick and easy, and the user interface is intuitive, even for users who aren’t networking experts. The tri-band WiFi 7 performance is excellent, delivering fast speeds, low latency, and reliable coverage throughout my home. It handles multiple devices simultaneously without any noticeable slowdowns, making it perfect for streaming, gaming, video calls, and smart home devices. I also appreciate the advanced features and customization options available for power users, while still being simple enough for everyday use. The build quality feels solid, and the router has been stable and dependable since day one…. If you’re looking for a future-proof router with excellent performance and features, the Flint 3 is an easy recommendation. Highly recommended! Security is great and great value ….

Best router ever
This router is wifi 7 and has all the amazing features a homelabbing nerd would enjoy. The ability to setup adguard and have a friendly user interface to configure every device locally is sensational. Definitely the best router I have ever owned and never had an issue with it. Definitely worth the money, best bang for the buck. Setting up security has been extremely easy as well, no issues and has additional features such as configuring your vlan if needed as additional security.

Great router
This router is fantastic. The setup is easy. The device itself looks awesome. I love how many options the setup has. The performance has been fast and reliable since install.

Overall good, but seems to have shoddy ethernet LAN on weak connections.
Pro's: It is basically OpenWRT (no LuCI, so not perfect), and you actually own your router. It's actually wifi 6E, and surprisingly fast. I was delighted that I could SSH directly in and everything just worked, out-of-box. Con's: Wifi 6E appears to be 2x2 (so slightly worse coverage). Major flaws: The LAN ethernet ports on this really struggle to connect to 1GBe networks, maybe my unit is defective, but I had to add a switch between my router and the rest of my network so my devices could talk through some of the links. I've never had an issue with any other routers, but I think something is legit wrong with the ethernet ports on this box.

Incredible Performance and Control
I replaced my Eero 6+ with the GL.iNet Flint 3, and the difference is incredible. The speed and coverage are noticeably better, and the connection feels rock-solid even with multiple devices streaming and gaming at the same time. One of the biggest advantages is the level of control you get. Unlike the Eero, which locks you into a more limited ecosystem, the Flint 3 gives you advanced features like built-in AdGuard for ad-blocking, powerful VPN support, and customizable settings that are easy to manage through its interface. Setup was simple, but it also offers tons of flexibility if you want to dig deeper and fine-tune things. Build quality is excellent, and I can already tell this router is built for the long haul. If you’re coming from an Eero or another consumer mesh system and want something with more power, privacy, and control, the Flint 3 is absolutely worth the upgrade.

Best router ever.
Best router I have ever had. Setup very easy, all 2.5gbe and wireless 7 makes me feel generations ahead of my old router with openWRT. The interface is familiar but it’s easy to use. I think given the performance and range it’s a fantastic value compared to a closed source router which will have an end to firmware updates. It was cheaper than the closest openWRT quad core which didn’t have the wireless 7 chip, I sent back a wireless 7 access point that was almost as much. I’m in a small apartment but there are different transmit settings for range, but in a small apartment I get excellent coverage. It’s arm so it uses little power, either open source at the core, it’ll have a long lifespan as it’s a next generation platform with connectivity or 4x lan 2.5gbe, 1 wan 2.5… I have gig wireless, so I’d be at the edge of a 1 gig connection, but the time I need a new router this one will do all I need. The usb port has a 6tb external drive for blu rays to stream over Ethernet and WiFi, it’s also a local cloud, I might get a usb raid drive and use desktop backup software. So a lot of connectivity.

Solid choice, easy and quick
First time buying GL.Inet. Most recently used a Netgear RS100 which suffered from random connection drops and has an extremely slow UI/app. In comparison, Flint 3 has an extremely responsive UI, no setup app required, just login to the router IP address. No phone app to setup was key for me as the Netgear app was terrible. Essentially works right out of the box. On my 1Gbps service, 5ghz gets to 750mpbs, 6ghz gets to 950mbps. Also has built in AdGuard which seems to work well. Other apps as well such as VPN. Haven't had any dropped connections, and range through wood/drywall is good.

Beta Software
Suuuuuuper fast. But horribly buggy. The firmware is beta testing level firmware. Literally. I plugged a picture of the firmware into ChatGPT and it was like “Oh this is SNAPSHOT firmware, that explains it. This is not a stable release.” This is still a good router. It’s OpenWRT based and has great hardware. Buuuuuuut. Don’t run WiFi 7 features yet. (Unless you enjoy dropped internet and constantly power cycling the router.) You can improve stability on this router by: - Turning off MLO - Turning off 6 GHz - Turning off Randomized BSSID This router is basically all the newest Qualcomm chipsets, a powerful CPU, great hardware, and the most cutting edge WiFi 7 beta software. I set it up months ago for maximum speed. MLO enabled, 6 GHz / 5 GHz / 2.4 GHz all on. It was FAST! 1,000 down and 1,000 up on my iPhone in the same room or one room over (1 interior wall between me and the router). But after a few weeks I noticed it would have stability issues. Wifi symbol on my iPhone would disappear and reappear rapidly. Network connections would drop. The only fix was physically unplugging the router, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. Yippee! It’s like computers of the ‘90s all over again. The router was like a finicky race car. Fast… when it wasn’t totally broken. So I turned it into a boring Toyota Corolla. Turned off MLO, turned off 6 GHz, and turned off randomized BSSID. Now I get 400-600 down and 300-400 up. It’s fast enough that I don’t care. I will never notice the speed difference on this tiny screen in my pocket. What I will notice is that THE FREAKING INTERNET WORKS AGAIN?!? I use Ethernet for my laptop because I’m an adult and treat my work as an adult should. Ethernet is the no nonsense fast option. No packet loss. No added ping. Fastest possible speeds. No WiFi troubleshooting. If you have a laptop, plug it into Ethernet. You’re a good person. You work hard. You deserve Ethernet. For everything else (you can’t plug your phone into Ethernet and walk around he house tethered to a cable) I recommend turning off all the fancy new WiFi 7 features on this router. Unless you like being a beta tester. Then yea keep those features on. …and thank you for your service. In 3-5 years when this WiFi 7 stuff is stable thanks to your years of dropped connections and bug reports, I will salute you and turn on MLO / 6GHz / etc… For now I prefer the Toyota Camry of internet. So I turned off all the fancy stuff and run this router like a Toyota Camry. Boring and reliable.

Superb Router
Fantastic upgrade — super fast and reliable! Picked up the GL.iNet Flint 3 recently, and I’m seriously impressed. Setup was quick and easy — the interface is clean, and it gives you way more control than your typical consumer router. The WiFi 7 speeds are no joke; everything in my house runs smoother, from gaming to streaming 4K video. The tri-band setup is great too — the 6GHz band handles my gaming rig perfectly, while all the smart devices chill on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands without slowing anything down. 2.4 and 5GHz bands signal strength is strong throughout the whole house, even through a couple of walls. 6GHz falters quickly the further you get away, that is expected with 6GHz though. I also love that it supports advanced features like VPN, AdGuard, and all the custom firmware options GL.iNet is known for. It’s powerful but still user-friendly. Overall, this thing is a beast for the price — fast, stable, and packed with features. Highly recommend if you want pro-level performance without spending a fortune!

GL.iNet GL-BE9300(Flint 3)

OpenWRT router with vlan support and built in security
Very powerful home router with OpenWRT that runs my hole home network with chrome casts, androidTV, homelab with 3 servers and a home assistant network. I use adguard home and Tailscale to access my homelab securely both from my local network and externally without any problems. My kids get to see what they are supposed to see and do online at my times not theirs. All in my family enjoy full gigabit speed when surfing without ads, spam and malicious acts. Can not praise it enough! Five star all day long!
