I installed two of the Bosch Blue Line infrared motion detectors on my existing Radio Shack-brand home security system. My Radio Shack security system is about 16-17 years old - purchased in late 1990's. I had to remove all the old Radio Shack motion detectors, because I could not mix the Bosch brand and the Radio Shack brand on the same wiring loop. The Bosch replacements work great. I use to get false alarms from the Radio Shack-brand motion detectors. I've been using the Bosch ones now for about 6 weeks and I have not had one false alarm.
