Valrhona French Gourmet Chocolate Bars "Guanaja" Dark Chocolate 70% with Cocoa nibs, 2 Pack 2x3oz

I've eaten way more nib bars than I should admit to. This one is one of my favorites. I actually wish the bar was a little thinner (it's a tad too thick for my liking), but the chocolate is great and the nibs are integrated throughout the chocolate (not just on the top or bottom like some bars) which gives the bar a great crunch and delicious flavor. YUM.

We were sent the wrong item. Amazon wrote to the company that shipped them explaining the situation. We requested a refund or the correct item to be shipped. We never heard back. Amazon thankfully refunded us. This has nothing to do with the Chocolate. It is our favorite brand!

I made chocolate lava cakes with this chocolate for Valentine's Day and they came out fantastic. Great chocolate melted perfectly.

I originally ordered this chocolate to try out Thomas Keller's Chocolate Chip cookie recipe that includes Guanaja 70% chocolate. I thought this item was the perfect amount that I needed. As I was about to make the cookies, I decided to taste the chocolate first. Then noticed that there were cocoa nibs inside. As much as I enjoy cocoa nibs, I did not want them to be part of this recipe. It turns out that they were not simply Guanaja by Valrhona, but Guanaja "Grué." There is a difference, obviously. I wanted the plain 70% Guanaja chocolate. I understand that cocoa nibs are mentioned in the description, but for future reference, if the title of the item can be a little more accurate, I think we home bakers would really appreciate it.

I've bought Valrhona baking chocolate for years. Their bar is just as good.

I'm giving this 3 stars because the chocolate is good but this brand, I feel, is very overpriced. Also the cocoa nibs in the chocolate are not enjoyable as you are eating this chocolate. At times I felt like I was chewing on shards of glass. Would not buy this particular chocolate bar again.
