Cats & Dogs Are Loving This Together!
Both of our large Nordic Breed dogs enjoy fish, and this product provided the essential fatty acids (EFA), their Vet recommends we use to supplement their dry kibble diet. We've noticed shinier coats, less shedding and the fact our two picky rescue cats seem to love it as well. The older, DLH kitty is happy now with one 'squirt' on her dry food per day and there has been less hacking up of those dreaded hair balls as a bonus to the silkier fur. At first I was hesitant to purchase a product containing anchovies and sardines, worrying about the potential stink factor. Happy to say this stuff really is next to scentless and we are planning to buy more when this runs out. Update: We've recently added another Siberian Husky to our family pack, this one with thicker, wooly coat. Each dog is now getting 3 pumps on their morning kibble, and I am glad to see that even with temperatures currently in mid 80's, their shedding is at an absolute minimum! Huskies are also prone to a particular type of dermatitis, but no unusual scratching or biting seen here. It is further reassuring to know that this high quality product is produced up to pharmaceutical standards. Many may not realize that fish oils are prone to pollutants, especially heavy metals such as mercury. Not an issue here, and another plus is that each teaspoonful contains 727 mg EPA and 498 mg DHA. Colorado State Vet Program has a chart available for suggested supplementation levels of EFA, and it is higher than you might imagine. Iceland Pure is on automatic reorder, a great value for solid benefits.

So Far So Awesome
First off, I love how this arrived. This has its own very sturdy box with all the information about this particular fish oil. When I opened it, I was glad to find it in a SEALED container which is NOT made of plastic and arrives leaking all over the place, like the Grizzly brand's salmon oil (never again, by the way, because after a short time and even in the fridge, that oil became stale and all the smells of the fridge contaminated it because of its loose and messy pump). This, however, had a silicone cork-like seal which was then wrapped in foil like a new bottle of wine. The pump was separately placed on the side. The foil was easy to snip off; the seal was easy to unplug; and the pump was easy to insert and close into place. (I'm so glad mine arrived with a good pump.) The next step was to see how my picky and sensitive shepherd would like this oil's taste. Voila! He loves it. I like how this fish oil looks like the real thing. When you bake or broil fish in the oven, it's natural juices come out to baste itself - light and lightly fragrant. That's what this fish oil looks and smells like. And there is NO herb added - it's pure. No rosemary (even though my dog likes rosemary, I prefer to add herbs myself if need be). I have even sauteed his food in this oil, on the occasions that I cook him meals as a treat. His coat looks awesome (other dog owners have noticed and commented on this, asking what I do for him) and I even think his skin allergies have subsided - much less scratching! We are very happy with this product. (MADE IN ICELAND AND NORWAY)

High Quality, Concentrated, Effective & Health Benefiting Purified Omega 3 Oil For Your Pets!
A very concentrated and purified omega 3 oil with very little to no odor. I like that it comes in a metal container with a leak proof pump dispenser that also includes a removable tab that locks it form accidentally dispensing. (I leave it in place and only remove it when using it) I’ve purchased it to use to add to my senior cats wet food as an extra measure for their health. They enjoy canned sardines packed in water as a treat but I wanted to ensure they’re getting enough omega 3 at their current age. (12 y/o) I calculated this size container would last a specific amount of days using between one and two pumps per day. However, it had exceeded my expectations in both how long it would last and its effectiveness. I saw a significant improvement in my cats coat, demeanor, personalities, and overall health within the first two weeks of use. They’re also more active and my little one who has never jumped on the counter has now done so a few times, surprising me! So yes, if you have a cat or dog, and can afford it, I highly recommend this omega 3 oil as an added supplement in their daily diet. It’s expensive, but of high quality and its container as well as the packing box itself are all well thought out.

Geriatric pets enjoy it -- horse and dogs
My 30+ yr old horse lost weight this past winter living in the herd. So I'm giving 10-14 pumps of this per day, twice per day, with his grain as he builds back up his weight and nutrients. I sometimes add a dollop of applesauce as well. My horse eats this fish oil in his grain with out any issue. I was seeking a fish oil because it provides more usable Omega-3 than ground flaxseed which we have used in the past. Chose this one because it's wild caught and because the description said there is no scent. I'm very happy about the quality of this item -- excellent aluminum container, sealed very well, pump works well. I intend to use it all up in the next couple months, and the label says to be used within 90 days. I'm giving to both of our 13 yr old dogs daily now as well. Everyone likes it. Great price for the amount, and very little fish scent.

Four Paws Up
Dog likes it. It has a slight smell, but not over powering like others.

Oily. Fishy. Squirty. Not smelly.
This works great for our dogs, and we use it consistently with their meals. It's great for their skin and coat, and helps keep down any flaking and itching. We find that if we somehow forget to use it for a couple of days, that it can crust-up a bit at the opening, which causes it to squirt erratically. Just means you have to wash off the pump tip to fix that. Also, it will start to develop rancid oil smell if you don't use it up within a couple of months (but we're not refrigerating ours). When you buy a replacement, be sure to save the pump from the previous, just in case the new pump doesn't work properly, which has happened to us twice out of a dozen bottles.

My dog is healthier and stronger after taking this supplement twice a day
Okay it's not 100% scent-free but it is sent free enough. My dog enjoys it and her coat grows in thicker, her immune system is stronger and she looks like a better dog when I'm giving her both the salmon oil and the Sardine mackerel oil from this company. I absolutely love the bottles that they come in! They are reusable but I wish that they came with a screw-on cap, not just a pump. They come with a silicone plug and a pump separately. I will definitely do the ordering this product as long as the price does not increase! * my dog suffers from a low immune system where she tends to lose hair around her toenails and get infections easily. Since giving her the soil she no longer loses hair around her toenails and she is less apt to get infections because it has improved her immune system. I basically use the same oil twice a day in her food and I washed her feet once a week with chlorhexidine shampoo. We no longer have a dog with bleeding feet who is chewing on her feet and miserable. She is completely healed and we are very happy! I highly highly recommend the fish oil products from this company!

Essential Fatty Acids for your Dog - The Best!
Icelandic Pure makes several fish oils for Dogs and Cats. I cannot recommend them enough. The two I will not buy are: Shark Liver Oil - Let's not kill sharks whether endangered or not. Nutritional values are lowest compared to their other fish oils. Liver may contain mercury and toxins from the sea, and I would not risk it. Salmon Oil - While salmon fish are good to eat, concentrated salmon oil is poorly digested by every life form except Grizzly bears. No point, even though its a good product. Cats and dogs don't digest pure salmon oil well. Neither do humans. Premier Omega Fish Oil - the best they make. Omega-3 values are highest, but so is the price. For 17 oz on Amazon you pay $45. I have not seen a 33 oz on Amazon. It would probably run $80 - $90 and too high for most, but if you can afford it, its great for big dogs with the higher values. Sardine Anchovy Fish Oil - this is my choice. Priced reasonably at $26 for 33 oz, it contains the second highest Omega-3 values. Absolutely the best product for the price in the fish oil options for your pets. No digestion problem, excellent supplement for glossy pet hair, smooth skin, anti-inflammatory for all organs, eye health, heart health, organ health, rich source of vitamins and minerals and Essential Fatty Acids. Buy this! Give all your pets some of this, including reptiles. Within 1 week you will notice shiny, silky soft hair on your cat or dog. Skin irritations are greatly reduced or gone. Eye health is preserved. And your pet will be robust and healthy. I use this for rescued, broken animals that need healing and the best care, as well as my own pets. It is not an option, you need to give this to your pets once or twice daily, as a critical supplement. Keep in fridge, lasts longer and oil does not spoil. 1- 2 squirts in food. By the way, if you are feeding your animals dry food and canned food, please consider nutritious fresh real food such as sardines, ground beef, cooked chicken, veggie stews on top of beef burgers, and real raw bones. Real food is real health. Add supplements like fish oil and you will have a show dog.

Quality product
My cats don't mind this oil, it just cost me a lot buying from Canada plus with added shipping when in the states it's half the price. Probably won't purchase again because of the cost.

Love it!
My young dog developed kidney failure and wanted to find high end good fish oil! And we’re very satisfied and we’ll spent money.

Little smell. Big price.
Took a long time to arrive, but the product is as described. Very little odor. Dog loved it. And she didn’t have any negative skin or tummy problems when introduced. Great alternative for a dog sensitive to salmon oil. Only real negative is the price.

Strong Smell, Dogs Dislike Taste - Disappointed.
I have given this product a one star, very disappointed as it had rave reviews elsewhere, but the strong smell of the fish, especially anchovy, gets stronger as time goes on and half way through the bottle my dog will no longer eat her food with the oil poured onto it. I would say it is VERY overpriced for what it is, and perhaps you will be paying for the actual bottle and not the quality of the oil. I am also disappointed that this company sells shark oil, since NO MATTER if they are sustainably sourced, Sharks are disappearing from our Oceans and other sources of Omegas should be found to replace Shark Oil. I will not be re-purchasing this product.
