Really a $100 dollars
First very small ! thread shaft is a 1/4 diameter . Look like brass not gold . Says comes with red and black boots for clean finished look .it did not . I said what is with a empty bag inside a bag as seen in picture , then I noticed someone had used these , teeth marks on the nuts . So i payed $100 for returned used . Are these really AudioQuest ?

Thank goodness AudioQuest makes these adapters
I read the negative reviews about difficulty of installation and failure to make a lasting quality connection after I ordered a 4-pack. My experience was entirely different. I was converting Kimber Kable stock (not the larger ones) spades to bananas. Using needle nose pliers and regular pliers it took me a minute to install each adapter in a tight, permanent fashion. To improve the connection, prior to tightening the bolts, I pinched the the spades with the needle nose pliers to bend around the post.

Trash
I purchased this product because I trust on the brand, but this is garbage.

Probably brass. And, if that is true, very overpriced.
Listing did not say of what material they are made, only that they are gold plated. Probably brass. And, if that is true, very overpriced.

No more loose spade connectors
I have a set of Paradigm Studio Monitor 100v2 speakers with an odd sized binding post, slightly larger than normal I've been told. The spade connector on the speaker wire I use had to be spread apart to fit the post. Doing this would cause the spade to push away from the post when the plastic binding cap eventually loosened. Once loosened, the spade would spring free of the post. I bought 2 four packs of the banana plugs, tightened them down well on the spade connectors that I squeezed down to normal size again, & they do not come apart while staying in place plugged in to the binding post. These things are genius. :-)

These things suck
I have high end speaker cables made from this same company and for some reason, I was silly enough to order all spade connections when I had them made. Recently I upgraded my home theater with custom made speakers and the terminals on them were massive, way too big to fit my spade connections. At first I got the spade ends to fit through half the post and the hole on the speaker. That wasnt cutting it for me so I went on a search for spade to banana adapters. I found these and ordered up a few sets. When they came in I realized how puny they were. The lock nut that keeps the spade tight around the adapter is so tiny that it barely touched both sides of the spade. I tried them for about a week but they kept coming loose. I then realized that my spade connectors on the cable were attached via little hex screws(Eureka!). I found the other option of actual banana plugs with the little wrench and bought those instead. Those were perfect in that I could undo the spades from my speaker cable and then put the new banana plugs on. This is definitely the way I would go if you can instead of trying to use an adapter like this.
