could this door be adapted to be automatically opended with an access control system?

Not without modification as the glass is Tempered and cannot be drilled

Would it be possible to cut 10cm off the end of the rail?

If you cut 10 cm off the rail the door won't close or open completely

can we have a bathroom lock on it?

Good Morning, A lock system would need to be fitted to the wall rather than the door itself. From feedback a latch system to hoot into or over the handle is the best option, Regards,

is there a round handle on each end of the door as otherwise the handle would be obscured by the wall from one side of the door?

Good Afternoon, The handle is present on both sides of the door, Regards,
